You know, sometimes I think it'd be so much easier if I wasn't a city girl so I could just like go camping or something when everything goes to hell in a handbasket.

But then I remember I've watched too many horror movies and too many crime shows to ever want to be in the woods by myself without like... a tank backing me up. And tanks are probably really expensive, so I guess I'm just gonna have to get a dog bowl and write "KILLER" on it. Or a sign that says like "beware of spiders and human matchsticks". Dunno if that's more or less threatening than "beware of dog" though.

Hey, Dr. McCoy? Can I ask you a question and maybe a favor?

Oh! Well, what can I assist you with, Ms. Stacy?
professorlionface: (I'll explain this slowly.)

And an MD, yes. Do you have a problem that requires a physician?
professorlionface: (Oh my stars and garters!)

Well, that would be a very worthy undertaking, yes! I should hope it might be a subject of greater interest, in fact.

Yes, this certainly strikes me as an idea worth pursuing.

Oh, understandable. Though it may be the type of course that could qualify you for low-level licensing. Nothing too dramatic, but more involved than, say, Lifeguard Certification.

Well, to be officially "whatevered", perhaps. But once you meet that qualification, you'd be ready.

And in the meantime, lifeguarding remains an option!
professorlionface: (I'm quite sure.)

Sounds like everyone wins in this scenario.
professorlionface: (I find myself brimming with thoughts.)

Unless enough interest is generated to form a new class, as an elective credit.
professorlionface: (It's really quite simple.)

Not at all! It's an admirable and constructive pursuit. The idea presents a welcome contrast to those I've been encountering more recently.
professorlionface: (I'll have to think about this.)

I just...mean the general situation, I suppose.
professorlionface: (I'll explain this slowly.)

That's one way to phrase it, I suppose.

It wouldn't change the fundamental qualities of the events.
professorlionface: (What was I thinking?)

Which, if anything, only lends further accuracy to the choice of phrase.
