Now don't get me wrong, kids, I'm not there, so I can't say for sure what y'all are experiencing, but is suicide really a better option than waiting for Lachesis to catch up with her sister? By my count, it usually takes her under a week to bring everyone back. What the hell is going on over there that is making death seem like the more valid option?

Statrep. Where the hell are you and why the hell can't I get ahold of Julian?

What we have are a lot of scared people. I don't know that any of them will deliberately suicide their way out, but...escape is a common thought among most of them.

I'm not really sure. I don't even know how the Network here is still connected. I'm simply trying to keep things on this side together as best I can.
professorlionface: (All the way up there?)

My guess? They didn't know what they were, maybe thought they wouldn't be much more than dead weight. Best chance is to keep them secret so they continue thinking that way.
professorlionface: (Oh I dropped it.)

I think the most important thing to know is that they won. All I know of the outside world is what their news tells, but of course it's positive.

They control everything here.

I think they've been in charge here for a very long time, Bobbi. Somewhere along the timeline, events unfolded very differently than in the City, and they did so in Vulcanus' favor. You can never underestimate what these people can accomplish, when they set their minds to it.
professorlionface: (You're sure about that?)

Apparently, it all started earlier. All of it started earlier. The Porter's emergence, the involvement of imPorts in the timeline, the formation of Vulcanus.

Something happened. There was a widespread catastrophe that imPorts were held responsible for. After that, there wasn't any fighting, any winning. Vulcanus had control, and no one stopped them from subjugating our people.
professorlionface: (Look more closely.)

The governments that make up the United Nations of Vulcanus, you mean? Maybe the voting record of former Vulcanus general Teresa Wertham, President of the United States for life.

It's them. All of it. And that's essentially all I know, they don't really air much beyond the news, and you can never really trust the news in this kind of climate.
professorlionface: (I'll take your word for it.)

If you think it would do any good.

They have their own Porter as well, obviously. Clotho, I believe the name was.

That's the ten million dollar question.

That's the obvious priority. I don't know that some of the others are really taking well to all of this. Can't blame them, either.

We have very limited opportunities to talk like this. But if I can't make it work here, I'll keep it in mind.
