[Displeased Agatha is displeased, as she looks into the camera. Her eyes are red-rimmed, as if she's been crying.]

If anyone knew Tarvek Sturmvoraus, he's been 'ported out. Shop's closed. That's. That's all.

[And the video feed cuts.

But about ten minutes later, it comes back on, blurred momentarily by something small and golden before the picture focuses on the inventor's back. And the machine she's half building, half sobbing onto. It's sort of a gleaming metallic monstrosity at the moment. Any guesses as to what it is?

The tiny robot that turned the feed back on pokes into view, waving one tiny arm in a distressed manner. Help! What do!]

[See Agatha. Agatha has been doing science, evidenced by the grease all over her hands, smudging a cheek, and in her hair. Poor hair. She looks rather excited, however.]

I love when everything works out just right, don't you? Not that I thought my calculations were faulty, but there's just something about things falling into place, just as you planned for them to.

Now, if only that would work the same way on my other project, hmf.

[Private to Seras Victoria.]

Sergeant, how is the cannon working out for you? Does it need any adjustments?

[This is a very frustrated-looking Agatha. She has some workroom grease on her cheeks and her hair's pretty messy. Actually, some of that may be soot. All of it may be. You know, like when things explode in your face unexpectedly. She also looks like she might not have slept recently. As in, a few days. Maybe.]

I have a..problem. I'd hoped I could take care of it myself, seeing as the original technology was created by my uncle, and styles do run in Spark families, but ah. I get ahead of myself.

If you are a scientist with a..mechanical bent, I might say, I would like to speak to you. I need to replicate something of mine that performs a critical function, with dire consequences if it breaks or is lost.

[Private to: Tali]

Tali, I couldn't do it. [She seems incredibly dejected about this, actually.] I'm hoping Mr. Stark will reply to me here. If he doesn't, could you mention this to him? I would appreciate it.

[Private to: Tali and Tony Stark]

Mr. Stark [Wow it feels weird to say Mister instead of Herr...], Tali suggested awhile ago that I might ask you for help with a problem of mine. I have this locket, you see. [Here she pans the video down to show it around her neck, a gleaming golden trilobite.] I need to make a backup.

It's not jewelry, it's a device my uncle built for me when I was a child, to keep my Spark from breaking through and to protect me. Female Sparks don't normally survive for long on their own, back home. Now it serves another, critical purpose. If it breaks or I lose it somehow, the City and quite possibly the world will be in danger. Tali was able to scan it and give me a blueprint, but I haven't had any luck making my duplication attempts work properly and I don't dare remove this one for a test. Not without-

[She just cuts off for a moment, then sighs. If Zeetha were here she'd feel safe testing this out for real.]

It's difficult to explain. I think you may be the best person in the City to help me with this, if you have the time. I would very much appreciate it.

[There is science happening in this video. Agatha is facing the comm, but clearly unaware that it's recording (must've been one of her little bots that turned it on, the naughty things), working on something that looks like a very interesting pistol.

Or perhaps a pneumatic nutcracker? Who knows, really? Sparks are special like that. And nothing's even exploded yet-

No wait, there it goes. A puff of colored smoke accompanied by a few sparks emits from the device under her hands. She frowns at it, shifting slightly to avoid inhaling the fumes, then picks up a new tool - one that certainly didn't come from Home Depot (hint: she made it herself) - and fiddles with something. Another set of sparks, and a reassuring click, and she smiles. It must be right.

And then she looks up to see the comm's recording light and sighs.]

..Ah. Apologies for the accidental video. It seems my little helpers are fond of turning it on when I'm not looking.

[A hand reaches toward the camera, then behind it, and comes back holding a dingbot, which she settles onto her shoulder.]

Nevertheless, I did have something to say. For any new Imports, my name is Agatha Heterodyne and I own Spark Roast coffee shop at [location]. The first drink's free for all Imports, and I am hiring baristas right now. Possibly a manager also. The pay's decent and I completely understand having to run off and do hero things if you need to.

Just a thought.

[The communicator is obviously sitting on a table, and the video shows a very displeased-looking Agatha. Very displeased. She's standing in the middle of Spark Roast, which, by the wreckage one can see in the background, is quite the worse for wear. The broken windows are boarded up, and all the robots and machinery have been smashed, up to and including the formerly glorious coffee engine behind the counter. She speaks after a moment, forcing the words out through clenched teeth.]

[Private to Jack Bauer]

If the police force needs anything I can provide, please let me know. I've got a bit of an arsenal of those stun weapons I put on the helicopter, in multiple sizes. Or..others. If need be.

[This is Agatha. This is Agatha standing in her coffee shop with a derpy smile on her face.]

Hello, Imports! I hope everyone's having as good a holiday season as they can, given the circumstances.

I like making new traditions, so like I did last year, here's my holiday gift to you. Free drinks for Imports during December through January fifth. Just show your comm to the cashier.

For anyone who wasn't here last year, I'm Agatha Heterodyne, the owner of Spark Roast, a truly unique coffee shop at [location], serving the best coffee in the City.

I look forward to seeing you!

[Agatha is...bouncing. A little. She seems overly excited about something. But first things first.]

To everyone who wanted to go visit the Large Hadron Collider, I'm sorry that I haven't been on the ball with that. I promise I'll find us a good time to go soon!

[Pause. Something silvery obscures the screen, accompanied by a clop-clop-clop noise.]

Ah. I know there are some people in the City who can teleport groups of people. Would any of you be interested in a visit to the Collider? I can pay for the trip - it would simply be much easier and faster than trying to get papers for all of us, then taking planes.

[There's an electronic whinnying sound. It distracts her for a moment, but she hums something softly and the sound goes away. She smiles proudly.]

Oh, and Sheriff Woody? The thing I promised I would build for you is finished. All that's left is for you to choose a name. Would you like to come by sometime?

[Aaand she turns the comm toward something that looks very much like a robot unicorn horse. It does NOT have rainbow mane or tail. Really. It whinnies again, curiously leaning toward the comm to inspect it.]

[Agatha is in her lab, slinging what looks like a large gun of some sort over her shoulder as she faces the comm.]

To everyone who expressed interest in the trip the Large Hadron Collider, are you still interested? Things were quite busy and I couldn't get it together.

And given the current situation, I think we might need to delay a bit longer.

[Locked to Jack Bauer]

Herr Bauer, you can come and pick up the helicopter at any time. I think you'll be pleased with the modifications I've made.

I did, however, lock down the lethal weapon settings, to avoid any accidental trouble. I'll be giving the codes to the chief for if they're actually needed.

[Locked to John McClane]

Chief McClane? I'd like to speak with you in person; I have the codes for the more lethal weapon settings on the helicopter Herr Bauer asked me to upgrade. I felt it would be best to have them locked down except for emergencies.

What would be a good time to come to the station?

[Private to Sentinel Prime]

Ah, hello. I have something that I think will be useful to you and the police force. Someone who was here for awhile - his name was Cyborg - and I built a tank. It has all nonlethal weaponry at the moment, but I can upgrade or downgrade them as needed.

Would you be interested? It's sitting in my workshop taking up space.

Mr. Rimmer, did you find someone to work on your car for you? I hope it will be back to normal in no time.

I do believe that I've been slacking off with my experiments lately. Would anyone care to, ah, try my new tea blend? It's perfectly safe and harmless. I would just like more judges of its taste, as I am somewhat biased, obviously.

Hello, everyone! If you haven't met me before, my name is Agatha Heterodyne, and I'm the owner of the Spark Roast coffeeshop at [location].

We've had a very trying few weeks, haven't we? There's not a lot I can do to make things better, but I can do this at least. Free coffee within reason for everyone on the Network for the next month or so.

Also, we can now deliver for large orders.

[Added later]
Ah, I should have said: All of the drinks we sell will be free to the 'ported, so it includes tea and cocoa also.

[Agatha smiles brightly at the camera.]

Hello, City-zens! I, Agatha Heterodyne, would like to announce the grand opening tomorrow of my coffee shop, Spark Roast, at [location]. For one day only, or perhaps the first few days depending on my mood, I'm offering free coffee to my fellow transplants. Show me your communicator and get a free drink! IT'S NOT DANGEROUS, I SWEAR. There may even be prizes for the first few people in the door. Shop hours are 6am to 8pm right now, and will hopefully expand once I hire a few assistants, which brings me to my next topic.

I'm looking to hire some help to run the shop. Since it's hard to find work as a newly-transported person, I thought I'd let all of you know first, and then I'll think of hiring some natives. I'd prefer people who aren't surprised by strange sights and oddities, and it would be a definite bonus if you're not the type to panic. It's not your average coffee shop; in fact, I'd say that it's QUITE UNIQUE! I PROMISE IT'LL NEVER BE BORING!

Please let me know if you have any questions!

[Agatha stares blankly at the camera. Still female, thankfully. Just grimy and covered in machine oil and goodness knows what else.]

I think I'm glad that I spent last night in my workshop. And I'll do it again tonight.

Note to self, get a cot.

[Private to Viral] )

The past week has been rather interesting, to say the least. I never thought I'd see a creature that large in my lifetime.

It seems that there are many abandoned shops in the areas near the destruction. How would I go about approaching the owners to see if I could rent space?

[Have a tired-looking and rather dishevelled Agatha, smiling brightly into the camera. Behind her on the tiny kitchen table, her microwave is half-disassembled. Again. It's barely recognizable as a microwave by now, really. This is the fifth time she's tinkered it to bits, and microwaves really shouldn't have tubing and fiddly bits and moving parts sticking out of them.]

Viral, it was very nice to have you over for lunch yesterday. We should do it again sometime.

[Something out of the camera view clicks at her.]

Ah, yes. I've been reading up on technology in this world. It seems that many things are far ahead of my world, but many are also far behind. I would love to visit the Large Hadron Collider particle accelerator I've read so much about. It's fascinating, but I'm a little disappointed that I cannot find anything on trans-dimensional harmonics.

[She absently reaches out to turn the camera off, still muttering to herself about sciency-physics-engineering things.]

[There is a very pretty strawberry-blond girl with big round glasses and a pair of goggles on her head looking very unamused. Very. Unamused.]

This is a communications device? INTERESTING.

But I digress. I need some answers. NOW.

Er, ahem.

My name is Agatha Heterodyne. I need to know where this is, and how to get back to Mechanicsburg as quickly as possible. The Castle will kill everyone without me there, and I need them. Not to mention that I have two idiots to fix before they get themselves killed and a city to hold.

[OOC note: When Agatha is speaking LIKE THIS, she's in or sliding into the madness place..]
