"Don't eat other citizens," - someone really thinks it's necessary to give that direction? I mean, don't get me wrong, it's definitely good to not eat other people, I would just think that it wouldn't be the best idea to bring people that might eat the other citizens. It wouldn't really be cannibalism though, right? Because if you brought someone from another planet that wasn't a human, but ate humans, then....

[Billy kind of trails off as he contemplates this - and then the fact that wow the first thing he's posting to the notwork is discussing the technical terminology of cannibalism when it comes to alien races. Awkward.]

Anyway, hi. I'm Billy. I was kind of in the middle of something back home but I'm guessing that's not really going to do anything for me in terms of getting back there, so it's probably better just to get into this whole network....thing.

Oh, yeah, one last question - so "Stark Technologies" communicator, right? That wouldn't happen to be Stark as in Tony Stark, would it?

[I mean, hey, there are other Starks in other worlds. GRRM is particularly fond of killing them.]

I really doubt you'd know of it, unless you've spent time in the City before and met one of ours. Alternia didn't actually reside in a universe common to Earth.

Well, it's really a lot to hear, and the telling does get tiring. You've only just arrived on a new world, I'd think you have more prominent concerns than the study of alien cultures.

Kind of can't leave, so it seems like as good of a thing as any. Do you your people have a name? I mean "alien" is kind of a blanket term.

We call ourselves trolls, but that in itself can be nonspecific in some contexts.

It had a tendency to be pervasive in our culture, as though it needed the qualifier to be more properly explained. The act of trolling itself described simple communication, though also carrying secondary connotations not unknown to your world.

But what was itself a qualifier there needs one of its own here. If simply calling me a troll is too confusing, despite the lack of other statuses within that umbrella that also apply, you can refer to us as Alternian trolls. anyone aware of us should be well aware of what you're referring to with that.

There aren't many of us left to begin with. Only seven are presently on this plane.
