Third time is the charm, I suppose. Though, really, this place has fallen apart since I've been gone. What has it been? A few months at the most, and already there are at least twice as many Avengers as I remember here now.

I'm also assuming that I don't have a job anymore. Pity...

[She just sounds bored with all this now.]

Ghost, you better still be here. I need you inside me.

So, how long has it been, City? It's only been a month or two for me, but that doesn't mean much here. I'm just dying to here all about what I've missed. What kind of crazy shenanigans have you all been getting into, who finally had their mental breakdowns, and, most importantly, did Tony or Norman ever settle their dick measuring contest?

Oh, I can tell that I've been gone for far too long.

I have two more very important things to ask.

First, is the NOHoPE still standing? If so, I'll be taking my job back. Whoever the new chief is, please just go ahead and step aside now.

Second, Tony Stark, are you still here? How about we go out and skip dinner?

It seems like things have been pretty busy around here lately. Yet, I'm still bored. Hospitals are boring, and it might seem strange to some people here, but for all this activity, this place is still pretty calm compared to back home.

I need to get out more! I need something to do!

So, does any hero want to go on patrol? It'll be fun.

So, are there any Thunderbolts here or not? I don't particularly care either way, but it'd be nice to know just how long of a leash I have.

All things considered though, I can't complain about this new setting. It was getting to the point where Moldy was becoming my best friend just because seeing him meant freedom, no matter how temporary.

However, it's left a rather large gap in my schedule, and I find myself needing something to chase away the boredom. Does anybody have suggestions or want to spend some time with little ol' me?

Oh, this is really cute. Seriously, another one of your tests? Set us loose and see which of us gets the idea to organize the Masters of Evil again or something? It's an uncreative method, should that be the case, unless you're trying to see how loyal someone like Crossbones would be, and it's already been established that given the chance, he'd already be saluting the Red Skull by now.

If this is really an exercise, then its subtlety is lacking, and even our competent leaders wouldn't be this bad. Which means this isn't a test at all, is it?

Okay then, since I'm a hero again, what exactly should I be fighting right now? Oh, please tell me that it's not some Z-lister that the Avengers can't be bothered to deal with.

Resolutions are, psychologically speaking, a double edged sword. While it's good to set yourself goals it can be disheartening and frustrating if you don't meet them. Choosing a goal of exercising every day sounds good, but most people fail to meet that goal and then just give up entirely.

If you're going to make resolutions, you should make one of them, "And to keep trying, even if I fail." For example, say your resolution is something like, oh, I don't know, to not make any drunken posts on the network this year. Even if you fail and get hammered and just can't help but share what drunken wisdom you have with us, that doesn't mean you should just give up trying to not post on the network while drunk. God no. You should continue to try and not make drunken posts on the network.

So for those of you making resolutions this new year, keep that in mind. Include not giving up in your list of resolutions.

Can someone clarify for me if Tony Stark has turned himself in yet for the murder of Norman Osborn?

Wasn't Chief McClane recently arrested for murder as well? Although any idiot should be able to tell he was set up.

Also, Avengers, you are not to retaliate in any way, shape, or form for this, Norman was a big boy who knew what he was getting into. I do want you patrolling in pairs though in case Stark starts going after the rest of us.

Selina Kyle, members of the Avengers are expected to keep their comms on at all times. If for some reason you're unavailable you should have notified your team leader, that would be me, in advance as to why you can't have it on.

If you couldn't answer it because you're dead, then you are, of course, excused and have my sincere apologies.

[ooc: So, Selina is now outed as a member of Osborn's Avengers.]

This is- s. Marvel. I'm at Indian -int Nuclear Power Plant. One of th- eactors has been been damaged by the Joker.

I-

Ng, I need help. Anyone with -ight and super strength, please get here as fa- you can. I can't lift this by myself.

[ooc: Back dated to this morning. Prior to being captured the Joker damaged one of the reactors and it's going to be a problem if it's not put into space asap. This is open for anyone who could help get it into space to come and help.]

I don't want to say that this city is boring, because it's certainly never that. A little less excitement of the kind that doesn't endanger everyone's lives would be nice, actually.

But there's only so much shopping a girl can do by herself. I think a night out with someone or someones is definitely called for. I don't care if it's just catching a movie, just something. Any takers?

[This portion of the post is also broadcast via media outlets to the general public. Ms. Marvel is looking very concerned and the wreckage of the overpass collapse is behind her.]

With all the recent destruction and injuries that have happened, blood banks are running dangerously low. You can do your part and donate today. To schedule an appointment to donate call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE or visit www.GiveLife.org.

[End video.]

I've just been told that the blood banks in the City won't be enough to cover the need after the recent disasters and have enough for their regular needs. I'll be flying to nearby cities who have agreed to loan us some of their reserves. Trauma, you're in charge of the Avengers until I get back.

Speaking of which, Avengers, I know we haven't been ordered to help with the situation at the overpass, but if you want to be able to look yourself in the mirror tomorrow, you should be helping.

I apologize to anyone that's been trying to reach me lately, since getting my powers back I've been playing catch up with all the federal agencies who have requested our help.

It looks like people getting each others abilities is still happening. Hopefully no one has been mid-flight when they've suddenly been switched with the ability to do something like listen to plants talk.

Danny, thank you again for the workout. I'd like to make it a regular thing, if that's possible? There's a lot I could learn from you.

I swear to God, powers or not, I will find that mechanical bitch that did this and beat her until she's not even useful enough to be a mouse. Whatever powers I got, I certainly didn't trade up. If all I can do is summon pies or something equally ridiculous, I'm going to be even more pissed than I already am.

[ooc: Karla didn't actually lose her powers, she's just faking.]

When I came here and told someone who had been an important part of my life in the past that I was a hero, their response had essentially been "prove it".

For the past several weeks I've been doing my best to make sure that the Avengers just don't sit around and wait for trouble to come. Of course, that's only just made certain people upset. Which I think just goes to show you that no matter what you do, some people will just complain about it.

For those of you who don't know Cloud 9 and missed her spot on Oprah, she's an incredible young woman and my praise goes out to her. I think you're all witnessing the birth of a truly exceptional hero in her.

To everyone else that's doing what they can to help others, be it through charity work or as heroes, keep up the good work. The world needs people like you.

I've been looking into the history of this place and I'm amazed that it's still standing. Or at least most of it is. It's good to know that there's that sort of devotion and persistence, even born of stubbornness, out there in the world.

It's an admirable trait for anyone to have, so long as you're able to recognize when it's going to cause more problems than it solves.

Along those lines of thought, a question to you all. What's the most important characteristic of a hero?

[Filtered to Osborn's Avengers minus Bullseye and Carnage]

I think we've been reactive enough. There's a meeting Wednesday at Oscorp at 4 pm. I expect all of you to be there and be there on time. If you're going to be late it had better be because you're saving someone and you had better let me know before hand. It's time the world saw who the Avengers were.

Well now, isn’t this nice? Tony Stark can’t get heroes to follow him in my world either. Of course, he doesn’t quite go so far as to start kidnapping them and forcing them into hero duty. He does put kids in jail without a trial though.

Maybe he just fell of the wagon here and this is the result of a drunken bender. A cry for help, perhaps?

Yes, I’ve seen the claims that it was a sentient suit of armor that did all this but really, can we be so sure? It’s not like this would be the first time he lied on such a wide scale. God knows he claimed to not be Iron Man enough times when he really was. Setting up a robotic suit of armor as the fall guy or gal wouldn’t be a big stretch of the imagination.

I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Ms. Marvel, leader of the Avengers. I'm not entirely sure what state the Avengers are in here but I'd like to offer my help. From what I understand, this place can use all the heroes it can get.

Private to Norman Osborn; Encrypted

What the hell is going on here? What kind of shit storm did I get pulled into?
