In all the commotion I forgot to check my mail until today, and guess what I just got? My Certificate of Emancipation!

[He waves the piece of paper proudly]

Now I'm legally an adult as long as I'm here! Thank you ever so much for your help with this, Miss Callie! This will make things easier, especially for times if my housemates need a legal guardian at all.

[The video cuts off as Vivi pins the certificate to his wall.]

If you are available and amenable to it, I would like to talk to you about Miss Lily Potter's son Harry. As a friend of Miss Lily, I am concerned for her mental state and while I am sure you have the best of intentions in regards to her son, I'm sure you are well aware that something must be done to relieve the pressure on yourself and the immediate community of your fellow imPorts.

I don't actually know yet. Most of the things I want to do I could do already...

I suppose I could start on getting an actual, official job so the Base has a bit more income to work with...

Yeah, 200 bucks a week isn't going to get you far in this economy. So who else is at this Base of yours?

Lyra and Toph - it's all kids here. Or at least, in my case, people who look like kids. Aside from the Porter income, I'd be the only source, and six hundred a week between three of us is a bit of a stretch.

I wonder if the library's hiring...

Is there anyone looking out for Lyra and Toph besides you? I mean, I know you're older than you look -- well, sort of -- but that's a lot of responsibility for one guy to take on. [Says the man with a passel of spider-children.]

I think so. I'm sure there are other people looking out for them too, and they seemed to have survived okay before I got here. I'm not too worried about them; we're all much more capable than we look.
