Why should this phenomenon confirm his identity? The very idea sounds highly unlikely to me!

When fictional people come to the City, the TV shows and movies and comics and stuff that they're from like... stop existing. I dunno how, but it's true. That's why the TV never plays Star Trek reruns anymore.

I suppose I've been lucky in the past, then, that it seems to typically ignore my usual tastes.

This poster, however, didn't feature Edward, yet it nonetheless vanished without a single trace!

Oh! Are you on Team Jacob, too?

Jacob? Don't be ridiculous! Neither of them are properly suited to serve as Bella's mateprit. In fact, she displays far more effectiveness in auspisticizing Edward's and Jacob's clear desire to begin a blacker connection that pursuing another quadrant with either would be, frankly, inadvisable.

This, however, frees her consideration for other scarlet endeavors.

Right.

So you're on team... Bella?

Team Bella would, itself, describe the very absence of a team.

I firmly believe the most obvious choice was present from the very beginning. Her selection should have been Alice.

Team Bella could just rally around her making positive life decisions and not getting herself hurt by anyone.

[There's a small gasp.]

Alice?! Really?

You can't truly find it so unthinkable, can you? Alice is, herself, exceptionally beautiful, and has made many concerted efforts to encourage Bella's acceptance into the coven. You can't tell me you felt nothing of the sort when she hosted the birthday party!

Moreover, she's far more intelligent and less volatile than Bella's other suitors, yet still not hesitant to take violent action when necessary.

It's not unthinkable, I just hadn't thought of it like that. I saw that as an act of friendship, or sisterly affection. But now that you mention it...
