001 ϟ video

[Man that whole Darkforce thing messed up Vic really bad. He's really still not sure if he's having weird android dreams and if they are android dreams why aren't there electric sheep hanging around?

Man, this kinda sucks, the whole 'being lost' thing. He thought this was LA first, but there's no buildings like the ones back home. Same for New York.

On the feed is a guy, about 16 years old, with his hair kinda all over the place, and really confused green eyes.]

Uh. Guys. We're not in Kansas anymore, are we?

You could always acquire a plane ticket!

[He pauses, god it's hard to keep all these kids straight sometimes.] ...Have we met before?
professorlionface: (I find myself brimming with thoughts.)

I don't know, you certainly seem vaguely familiar at least.

Tell me this, am I fictional on your world?
professorlionface: (What was I thinking?)

Well, that certainly doesn't rule it out, then. You have a name, son?
professorlionface: (I'll take your word for it.)

Mancha...Mancha... [Wait, there's something, but it was in L.A., not Kansas.]

Ah ha! With the Pride's children, isn't it? Your delinquent friend stole my glasses a few years back, Toto.
professorlionface: (Can't be overly concerned at the moment!)

I've actually met your friend Ms. Hayes on a number of occasions! Never directly while she was with the X-Corporation, [counting on his fingers,] but there was that...unfortunate incident in L.A., another after we moved to San Francisco, I hear you and the rest had a run-in with our kids then, and a chance encounter once by the tar pits.

You're not exactly strangers to us!
professorlionface: (Most excellent! :3)

[He smiles wistfully.] Yes, he mentioned that. Not everyday he's clobbered by a twelve-year-old girl, he kind of took it to heart.

But that was actually a couple years back from my perspective! This sort of phenomenon is unfortunately common among us imPorts.
professorlionface: (Um.)

He can be, sometimes.

But yes, staggered timelines are the name of the game. It will cause you surprises on occasion, but with all the others who aren't even from ours, the transdimensional shenanigans do get easier to deal with over time.
professorlionface: (Blah blah blah.)

Quite a number, in fact! I can't say I recall any of your acquaintances, [Since he never met Xavin or Alex in either universe.] but we have a considerable docket of Avengers and X-Men, along with a few from adjacent universes.

Of course, don't let the "Hero" title fool you, Lachesis has something of a blindspot when it comes to the morality of those she chooses to bring in.
professorlionface: (Well...that's something.)

Sometimes. Those who are from our world you may already recognize, and there will always be more subtle practitioners.

I don't know if there's really a proper way to warn against those.
professorlionface: (I'll explain this slowly.)

That doesn't sound like too many people, if you don't recall meeting either of those who've yet recognized you.

It can be a delicate process, determining who to trust, but I should think it holds in everyday life that same as it does here.

I that's what works for you! Beast, Dr. McCoy, whatever.

I'm pretty fond of Hank, personally.
professorlionface: (Oh hello!)

Very good. Pleased to meet you more properly, Vic.
