I'm wondering if Calvin can come over for, like, a night. We'd just hang and pla video games. It's summer and unless you have him in some sort of camp thing then it should be okay. I can pick him up too. Uh, we'd probably have to get a hotel room because I don't think Boyd would really want to house us for the night, but we'd have one of my people there since the guy follows me everywhere...

So, uh, yeah, I figured I needed to ask his parents before asking Calvin so you don't think I've stolen him or something. I promise I'm not some weirdo.

Alright. You can pick him up sometime tomorrow, if that's convenient. I'm sure Calvin will be delighted for the playdate.

You, uh, I mean we don't have to meet first do we? I know parents can be weird.

Calvin has superpowers and understands well enough how to use them. More than that, he's been in this City for a very long time. Anyone on this network is more than familiar with him, making him a terrible candidate for kidnapping.

And, of course, if you try anything at all with my son, you will not only have myself and his mother to answer to. Rather, the whole of the Avengers will likely be involved.

If you would like a meeting, however, that can be arranged.

You're part of the Avengers? I didn't realize the team had been brought back together. Does Calvin know this? Of course he does! This is so cool.

His mother and I are both Avengers, and yes, Calvin is aware. I was unaware that our team had ever truly disbanded.

Well, only for looks. I have to admit that I haven't been able to catch up on things back in my world.

[What with him trying to keep it from ending and all]

Angelica and I have, at times, taken hiatuses or leaves from our duties. However, as I have been affiliated with the organization since I was a very young man, I have always felt a deep connection and loyalty to it. And, I'm fortunate enough to believe that most of them feel the same. Despite any personal differences we may have.

Hey man, no need to give me the speech; I've been buying into it since I was six.

You know you keep up the team talk and you'll give Calvin a complex.

I can't imagine why it would. Calvin is more than familiar with our work.

Calvin flew me around the city when I was stuck as an animal in a cape that I'm fairly certain was a bathtowel.

I don't find that surprising. He recently told me that he wishes to be a hero when he grows up.

Naturally, I expect him to change his mind by Tuesday. Perhaps he'll want to be a paleontologist then.

Pah, they're boring. He's totally genius material. Take it from me.

This may seem arrogant, but I will be entirely honest with you. I would expect nothing less from my son. Whatever Calvin decides to do, I haven't the slightest doubt that he will be nothing short of breathtaking.

Sounds very...parental. Sorry, I'm not too sure on what parenting sounds like, but I'm sure gushing on your kid is right on the TO-DO list.

Indeed! Perhaps I'll get around enforcing some sort of discipline next month. Then, perhaps, I'll truly be effective.

Discipline is overrated; stick with the gushing.

Oh, but I believe my wife might disagree on that note.

Women worry too much. Stick with your gut and you'll be good.

But to have your confidence in such things. I prefer to think that Angelica and I balance each other and thus, are good together.
