Well, okay. I'm used to really weird stuff happening by now but this goes up to a 7 in Leo's scale of weird.

I mean this is all fine and dandy [He waggles the pamphlets in front of the cameras, not-really refraining from rolling his eyes because really? Pamphlets? So 40ies.] but I was kind of in the middle of something back at home. Something... important.

And dog-tags aren't really my thing anyway. [He waggles them as well, making the metal 'clink'.] And apparently this here is going to be my room? F Y I I don't plan on staying in here long enough to need one so this is kinda creepy. Is the mist playing around with me head? Again? Because seriously I am pretty sure that's gonna cause some permanent damage and I don't mean to imply I'd sue but [Have a dramatic finger pointing out right at the screen] I'd totes sue.

Soooo Jason? Piper? Percy? Annabeth? Hazel? ...Uh, Frank? [Yes he's indeed calling for Frank this is serious stuff going on here.]

That's what people keep telling me, guess I'll have to buy it for the time being. [Doesn't sound very convinced though.]

Oh sure, people come and go all the time. The problem is, we have no way of controlling it.

So people do leave, we just don't know why or how? Now that's interesting. Not really useful since it means I'm gonna still stay stuck in here... but interesting.

The why part is actually pretty cut and dry. The machine that ported you here is called Lachesis. It's an AI programed to snatch people from different universes to serve as superheroes in this one. But no one knows who built Lachesis and no one's been able to reprogram it.

[If the machine only transports heroes then only good people are going to be around here right? ...That's his logic and he's sticking to it.]

I'm not a hero though, I don't even like the comics. Jason and Piper do the hero-ing in our little team, I'm there for comic relief.

Lachesis has sort of a loose definition she's working with. Sometimes she brings actual heroes. Sometimes she brings civilians. And sometimes she brings criminals. It's all over the place.

[teamme]

Well that's just awesome. So it's basically programmed to bring heroes to protect this city but it also brings useless people and actual villains?

Has anyone actually tried to check it and fix it? [He guesses he knows the answer, but he still has to ask.]

Iron Man did once and Lachesis killed him.

[teamme]

Iron... Man. [He says it like 'are we going to really pretend that's not a ridiculous name here' but for all he knows they all have those in here. Lachesis did ask for a hero name and he made one up.]

So: if you want to stay alive don't mess with the totally tempting machine. Got it.

What about building our own portals?

Exactly. No one's been able to build a working model yet. As far as I know, the technology can't be duplicated.

Doesn't mean I can't try. They said fixing the Dragon or building a flying ship was impossible and voila, Leo here managed to do both.

Let's just say technology is in my genes. ...Except gods don't have genes so the metaphor loses a bit of truth but whatever.

His name is Alex Aaron. His dad is Ares. He's got fear based powers. [She looks a little sad. She misses the little punk.]

Ooooh man, Ares and Hephaestus kids never get along.

Alex never gets along with anybody.

Yeah. He got ported out back in the autumn. It's really quiet without him, but at least he's back home. [And is sadly dead, but Kate doesn't know that. :c]

[He's trying his best to put on his 'sorry' face because if it was Kate's friend he must not have been a bad guy, she seems sweet.]

Yeah, not to be rude or anything 'cause everyone seems nice in here but I'd really like to be back home as well.

Most of us would rather be home. But our choice in this matter is kind of entirely eliminated. We're pawns. Puppets. Players. And we've got parts to play and work to do until Lachesis tires of us.
