[ Backdated to the fifteenth, before all the latest modplot stuff starts going down. ]

The day after Valentines has more poetry to it, I think. All the hearts marked down to half price, all the chocolates gone on sale.

And the chocolates. Buy them late, when they're cheap, forget you're alone on Valentines. Eat too many: that's why you're alone on Valentines. They sell you everything, in this country. Like I said, poetic.

We didn't celebrate the holiday, where I'm from. But I guess that's not so strange here, is it?

[ A pause. ]

I need a good rock climbing place. Let me know if you know one.

Well, I don't know. Maybe it's being alone that really tempers the poetry's flavor. Not all poems work for all times, that is.

Having someone around works for other types, I think, but the happy ones rarely get the same attention.
professorlionface: (I'll explain this slowly.)

I think creative collaboration works best with proper boundaries set, but it would certainly be harder to manage with poetry.

It's funny, though, how far-reaching that idea is. We don't really measure our experiences by the good thing we've been blessed with, but more often our hardships, our tragedies.

Probably because it can't be easily said without trying to invoke guilt over no longer having that happiness. How long can we sustain ourselves on little more than a memory?
professorlionface: (Well...that's something.)

But is that to imply that you're alright skipping a meal, or you've been left starving?

Just a completely random observation? I doubt I'm the only one who'd find that a little suspect.

A professional with an alibi, certainly!

When they're hiding what's really going on most of all.

Or when all they want is an excuse to dismiss you.
