[Hello everyone, here's a new face! And he looks particularly uninterested as he speaks.]

Is there a cardshop located here? [And that's literally all he has to say. No hello, no introduction, no wondering about why he was suddenly kidnapped... obviously this guy has more important things on the mind.]

[It sure is a nice day! Sun is... sort of out, birds are... screeching...

[Oh would you look at that! Well, he sure wasn't expecting to see Ren or well... anyone familiar here, so color him surprised! But also a bit relieved.]

Where are you?

[craydar]

Aw, Kai, you could at least try to sound a little happy to see me...

Do you know where the MAC is? Eighth floor, apartment six.

[tushiki]

[He doesn't reply to the first comment, rather just lets out a small sigh through his nose.]

Alright. [And that's all he says before he ends the feed! In a few minutes or so, he lightly raps on Ren's door.]

[craydar]

[That was fast!

Ren practically skips to the door and yanks it open, almost immediately throwing an arm around Kai's neck and dragging him inside.]

I'm so glad you're here!

[tushiki]

[Once he's inside, he tears himself away from Ren and straightens his clothes a bit. Don't do stuff like that Ren, geez!]

How long have you been here?

[craydar]

[He can't help it, he's happy.]

Too long by myself. I think it's two and a half months, now.

[...suddenly accusatory!!] You missed my birthday!

[tushiki]

Two and a half months? I was with you the other day, though. [He thinks about that for a moment.]

... The time must work differently here, then. [Yep, not commenting about the birthday.]

[craydar]

Oh yeah, it does. I got told that on the first day here, since I was worried about what was going to happen...

[. . .] You missed my birthday and Christmas.

[tushiki]

[Oh ouch, two special holidays...]

... Sorry. [He'll make it up to him... somehow...]

[craydar]

[He looks annoyed for about two seconds before he brightens back up again.]

Well, you're here now! Sit down or something, stop standing around like that.

[tushiki]

[Boy Ren was quick to change from upset to happy as always... He sits down on a chair then, crossing one leg over the other.]

Is there anyone else here with you? [Ie. Aichi.]

[craydar]

[Sits down in a chair across from him, chin in hands.]

Hmm. Well, I saw one of your old teammates before. Kamui, he's here. But I think we're the only ones.

[tushiki]

[Oh Katsuragi's here too, okay. He makes note of that.]


So it's just us three... [Well, at least they can all battle each other...]

[craydar]

[He can't help but watch Kai carefully, a smile playing on his face.]

Oh, but more people show up all the time. You never now when he'll get here.

[tushiki]

[He looks away from Ren and folds his arms over his chest, as if he was denying the fact that Ren was completely spot on to his thought process.]

[craydar]

[A laugh! He's not stupid, Kai.]

What are you going to do now?

[tushiki]

[He shifts his gaze back to Ren for a moment, before looking out a nearby window.

With there not being a lot of other Vanguard players nor any packs of the cards for sale, it's a little hard to continue training to be a stronger fighter. You need to fight a lot of different players to get strong, not just the same people, the same cards, over and over and over again. It's not like he'll stop playing all together though... but in this current situation, he wasn't quite sure what exactly to do now.]

... [He doesn't really say anything either, just continues to look out the window as he thinks.

What was the purpose of being brought to this place again? To be some kind of hero?]

[craydar]

Well, there's no rush. You can just take your time.

[It's completely sincere. Ren knows Kai operates at his own pace, and there's no point trying to move him along any faster.

He can still offer suggestions, though.]

Maybe try and figure out your powers?

[tushiki]

[That catches his interest and he looks over at Ren again.]

... Do you know what your powers are?

[craydar]

Yeah, but they're not very interesting.

[tushiki]

That's not the point of them. [As in he's very curious please show him...]

[craydar]

It's just the same as always.

[He blinks and suddenly that familiar swirl of PSYqualia is there. Ren, however, looks pretty nonplussed about it.]

Except... I can't hear the cards any more. I just get flashes of things that are probably from the future, but they've only made sense to me a couple of times.

[tushiki]

So you have foresight. [Well that sounds.. at least a little interesting. In Kai's book anything's better than PSYqualia so he's a little relieved to see it's something different...]

[craydar]

I couldn't tell you were coming though. It's not really useful.

[To be honest he's a bit annoyed he doesn't have any combat-based abilities. Or, at least none he can figure out.]
