[oh look, it's dr. mann's face! she looks a little distracted and a lot messed up. her hair is messily pulled back, and her face is sweaty, but when she speaks her voice is at least relatively composed, if a little weak. she's obviously trying to hold herself together, and, to her credit, is doing a fairly decent job.]
Good morning. I have good news and bad news.
The good news is that I am not, in fact, a ticking time bomb of gendercide. The plague isn't in my system; I'm... nauseatingly healthy, in fact.
... emphasis on the "nauseating." I'm sure most people don't really care about the gory details, but suffice to say that this is a very good thing. I've known this for about a week, and meant to announce it earlier, but somehow a--a giant nuclear fucking death lizard took higher priority in my mind.
[she sighs, then her eyes twitch down and widen in what could be disgust or awe. probably both.]
Well.
This is the bad news. It's a little more... personal, admittedly, but still.
[she lowers the camera to her stomach and holds the fabric of her shirt up--but not with her hands. or, like, with her hands, but not the ones holding the comm. there are two twitching arms, emerging at what appears to be the elbow, and what looks like a mishapen face poking out of her abdomen. her face, although it's not fully-formed. the eyes are blinking, and the hands are what just lifted up her shirt--very cooperatively, I might add, but hey. extra hands.]
I am certain this isn't an effect of radiation, and it's pretty fucking obviously not natural. Would it be too much to ask how I can stop this? As... entertaining as it was to wake up to extra limbs, this is one experience I'd care to end. Now.
