nine daggers; video
[Dagger shows up on the screen, more than a little apprehensive; it hasn't been that long since she returned home, especially compared to the last time, but though she's used to teleportation, moving to the City is still a bit of a new thing for her. Anyone who knows her from home/here might notice that her outfit is kind of different.]
Hi. This is Dagger.
[She pauses after this, putting her hand to her chin in a thoughtful manner.]
I can't say "it's good to be back," because, really, who actually likes being stuck stagnant in a place like this? but none of us have a choice, so I guess the point there is kind of moot.
[She laughs awkwardly.]
This is the third time I've been brought here. Hopefully, this isn't going to be a reoccurring thing, because I kind of liked how things were going back home, you know? In comparison with everything else, and though Cloak and I aren't--
...Is he here too? I haven't even--
[Quickly, she shuffles around a bit and sets the device down. There's a whooshing sound, as she fires off a dagger, looking through the City for that certain bit of darkness. In the corner of the footage, you can see a bright light that looks as if it's flying, then it's gone. She picks the camera back up, this time her expression slightly worse than before. She can feel it, searching, but turns her attention to the network.]
