[Nick's bloody, covered in dirt, and irritated. He punches a few buttons on the communicator, then rubs at his neck, and his hand comes away bloody. He makes a quiet sound of disgust, and wipes his hand on his jeans.]
This is ridiculous...
Look, the hero thing, that’s real cute. But that’s not my thing. I’m not anyone’s hero and dragging me here isn’t going to change that. What, am I supposed to throw on a cape and start leaping tall buildings in a single bound? Not my thing.
I’ve got enough problems back home to deal with. I was supposed to…you know what, never mind. Just let’s say I had important things to do that I need to get back to.
And how did I even get to New York?
Cassie, if you’re here, all I wanna know is how the hell didn’t you see this coming. You’d think a little thing like this might’ve got your attention.
[A beat, then a long sigh. Nick pinches the bridge of his nose.]
Alright, alright. Someone on here's gotta know a way to get out of here, right?
