The City, huh? A name like that tells you one of two things. The first is obvious, a lack of imagination. The second is a little more telling.
I'm talking about Ego. The idea that this is THE City, the one by which all others should be judged, the one they should aspire to. Now don't get me wrong, New York is fine for what it is, whatever you call it. But too many people in this world think that their way is the best way, the only way, and that gets dangerous. You start believing that every other way's wrong and needs to change, to homogenize. And from this stems all the troubles in the world.
I hear L.A. was wiped off the map here. Never thought I'd miss the place, but there you go.
