(Eight) - Video, early morning of the 25th

[She thought about making this a voice post -- but nobody needs to see the familiar walls of the clinic to know that she's there, just from how tired she still sounds. From the looks of things, she's willing to be that there's a large portion of the imPort community here, anyway. She hasn't ventured out of bed yet, but she's asked the other nurses who's around.

She lost a lot of blood and she's looking pretty pale, still. Her right cheek is speckled with tiny cuts and her right shoulder and arm are wrapped and slung.]

My thoughts are with anyone who is suffering through this, and every good person out there looking for the missing even if they don't mean anything to you personally.

I hope everything is starting to get under control by now. I guess I'll finally be taking that short vacation from work that people have been saying I need.

But I'm -- fine, really.

[She can't do much reliably without her wand-arm for a few days, at least, even with whatever potions Snape's managed to salvage. Turns out that a short-range, relatively localized explosive spell can be pretty destructive.

The slight frown on her face shifts to something a little more concerned when she speaks again.]

Even if we're crowded here, if you're hurt -- don't hesitate to come by. We'll find a way.

I wish it was something as simple as an "I think." It's...

It's to do with how I was made. I was made as a prototype soldier for war, a disposable and replaceable doll. I know black magic better than anyone else because it's how I was made; the downside is that it's impossible for me to learn any other type of magic. My black magic sort of... interferes with it.

So I'm good in a fight - really good, if I have to be - but if I'm trying to rescue people and they need medical attention, I'm not much good to them beyond protecting them from more harm and getting them to somewhere they can be healed on Choco.

It's not fun when you're already injured and even more pathetic than usual. [She pauses.] You'll probably work yourself to death, at this rate.

[She pauses.]

Only once, but genuinely nicely.

I know. But sometimes it'd be nice to not have to. I've at least had time to learn how to do other things with my magic; tricks, utility stuff, so I'm not just about blasting things...

... but sometimes, I found myself watching Dagger and Eiko tend to other people's injuries after battle, using magic to heal so easily, and wishing that I could find a way to do that.

Still, there are other things I've learned how to do here, so I'm glad I did get Ported here.
