[All that's actually visible on the video feed is a bookshelf, apparently at a bookstore. The camera is trained on an approximation of this book, with a slightly less wonderful cover! Basically picture the Twilight cover with a fingernail moon on it instead of an apple. The unseen person behind the comm is clearly one of the teenagers posting, right? And it's totally accidental, because who would voluntarily read NOPE IT'S LUST AND SHE'S DICTATING OFF THE DUST JACKET.]
Crescent Wayne has always blended into the background. Quiet, unassuming, and plain, her life is completely ordinary until she meets Spencer de Beaumont, a mysterious imPort who recently enrolled at the prestigious Reivax Institute. The connection between the teens is undeniable, and soon Crescent is drawn into his exciting secret world. But as the two grow closer, dark forces conspire to keep them apart. Why is Spencer avoiding Crescent? What does his darkly sensual twin brother, Marius, want with her? And what is the connection between the brothers and the mysterious but alluring vigilante, the Moonlighter?
[Her tone, previously immensely flat, takes on some more animation now that she's done.]
It's an interesting read, I'm sure--and now they're making a movie. Funny, isn't it? But not at all unexpected. The further out you go from the City, the less you've played havoc on their lives, the more fascinating we all are to the permanent residents. And considering the way its fiction tends to disappear, it only makes sense for them to cut their losses. But the closer you go in, well...
Imports go home.
It's not related, but surely at least one of you has seen something a little less trite written on the walls. There's always "when in doubt, Imports out", but I'd hesitate to call it original.
((ALSO, IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO READ A WRITEUP ON THIS TURD OF A SERIES, IT IS HERE.))
