This is ridiculous.

People get lost in South Brooklyn all the time but I don't. So here's the deal. Team, you respond to this as fast as you can and I'll pretend that you guys didn't abandon me in the middle of an invasion. Anyone else? Don't bother with directions. I don't need directions. Either my team will find me or I'll find them.

Or else.

Also, I don't know what the accosting was, but I'm going to pretend it didn't happen. Whatever is going on in this place is giving me a headache. Dog tags. Really.

Yeah, I'd be in the same place. Some of this stuff is just tough to talk about.

Like, about two months ago I got ported out for a while. And around the same time Teddy got kidnapped by this fucking lunatic who calls himself Black Mask. Got... roughed up a bit. And this is by a guy who has drills for hands and a really sick sense of humor. Think what happened in the Cube but worse and longer.

So. Obviously, Teddy's not totally over that yet.

Yeah, see, that's the fun part about the porter. It was designed to bring in superheroes to take the place of the police. But sometimes it misses and pulls in a super-villain instead.

So picture every villain we've ever heard about or read about or seen in movies all crammed into one city and then you'll have some idea about the kind of stuff that's going down around here.

Dude, I've met Xena. And Pikachu. And there's an actual Batman walking around somewhere.

So sometimes it's cool, but it also means that a ton of Batman's villains came with him, which isn't.

Well, there's an unsettling thought that hadn't occurred to me.

I haven't met anyone who's recognized me like that yet, no. But there are more people coming in every day, so who knows.
