[Jade is grinning into the camera, looking pretty different. She's wearing fancy pajamas, just like John, except hers sparkle. She's also got white dog ears.]

Hi! Um, sorry, everyone. But I am back now! I hope I didn't worry anyone. Was I gone long?

[There's a pause, then Jade shifts the camera so that those furry ears are in full view.]

Well, I suppose that's an exact half of the recent obstacles placing themselves as impediments to this party taken care of.

Yeah, and I am really glad that Jade is back now! ... But we still don't know what happened to Rose, or if she is okay back home.

[ thank you john for driving home the "if she is okay" part, that is certainly something kanaya hasn't been fretting endlessly over for the last week or so! she closes her eyes and kneads her temples ]

No, that we unfortunately don't, which provides the other half of the previously mentioned obstacles. The best we can expect to achieve on that front is to wait, and perhaps ready certain things in hopes that she does return in time.

Otherwise...I'd rather not consider the otherwise, actually.

Well, it looks like Jade is from the future! She might know what happened to Rose?

As opposed to hurtling to her certain death in an explosion meant to destroy the Green Sun? And even should she miraculously survive such a thing, we'll remain entirely ignorant of whether she'll return here or not.

Thus the aforementioned "otherwise" that I'm doing my best to avoid dwelling on.

[ Kanaya... why would you even D'B ]

But we don't know that's what happened to Rose!

[ she's glowing pretty brightly at this point, she's definitely dwelling. she shakes her head, her eyes blinking frequently ]

How else do you expect this to end, John? It would certainly be in line with everything else that's occurred up to this point.

[ Yeah, he might be looking down away from the communicator a bit. It kind of hurts when she does this! But he knows she doesn't really mean to or anything. ]

I don't know, but I don't think the rest of us would be happy with Rose just going off to do that, and we would definitely try to stop her.

[ she inhales sharply and looks away from the screen, leaning with one hand over her mouth. dammit kanaya, don't you dare start crying about this ]

That's...exactly what Jade had related to me the last time we returned. We know Rose will do this because she already has.

[ Stopping. He didn't expect that... ]

[ and she's pretty confused by his surprise! ]

When the blackout occurred, I was no longer capable of monitoring her actions. But Jade has informed me that she utilized her ebony festerthroes to confront Jack Noir.

It was, as expected, a strife which ended poorly for her.

But you don't know that for sure, right?

John, in what other manner would you expect such a confrontation to end? In order for that to be inaccurate, Rose would have to defeat Jack Noir and Jade would have to have been deceiving me. I don't see either of those two factors as being terribly likely.

Or to get away from him! Maybe something distracted Jack and she managed to escape.

This still fails to take into account the information Jade provided me with. Unless you suspect her of lying to me, which I find highly unlikely. She wouldn't have told me such a thing if it were inaccurate.

Jade just got back though! Maybe it was an understanding of what she was trying to say, we should double check with her again, and get the full story!

I've made inquiries already. She neglected to divulge any new information regarding that subject, which leads me to believe she was not in possession of it.

[ or that kanaya was too busy worrying about jade mentioning that she kinda died to ask ]

I don't know, everyone except for you is always pretty cryptic when it comes to future events when they show back up. I am going to try to talk to Jade about this first! It has to be come kind of mistake, because Rose has to be okay!

Should she be, it will certainly not serve as a result of her own efforts.

Even if it's not because she kept herself safe... she still could be! I don't think any of us want to let anything happen to her either, and Dave would do everything he could to keep her safe too.

And in what method would he be capable of accomplishing such a thing? She won't be barred for this effort, that much has become immensely clear.

Dave controls time! Another version of him came back and time and kept me from dying once. He can do the same for Rose.

That would require him to convince her from her set course, or forcefully preventing her from taking it. He does not strike me as particularly capable of either.
