Being rather immobilized at the moment, I've taken to watching this comm. And I find I have something to get off my chest.

Hatred gets you nowhere.

A person is angry, and they hate someone else for it. So they hurt that person. The person who was hurt had family, people who cared about him. Everyone does, even if they don't deserve it. This person's family members, someone they love has been hurt, and that hurts them, too.

So they hate that first person.

They'll try to hurt that person. Maybe they can't get to the person they hate, so it's transferred to someone else. Someone who reminds them of that person. Their family, maybe, or someone who looks like them, or acts like them.

The new person is hurt. And they have family, people who care about them.

It never ends.

Hatred has made me do things I regret. I had to learn that lesson the hard way.

Please, I don't want anyone else to.

I thrive on hatred. It's more natural than my heartbeat.

Keep your fucking sympathy.

You're artificial, aren't you? What do you know about hatred? You're not even real.

Yes. Hatred, among other things.

[private; encrypted]

[identity profile] darkdestine.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 06:00 am (UTC)(link)
And what is it that you hate?

[private; encrypted]

[identity profile] fluidshape.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Everything.

It's my nature.

[private; encrypted]

[identity profile] darkdestine.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 06:30 am (UTC)(link)
Such a fascinating nature.

Your name?

[private; encrypted]

[identity profile] darkdestine.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
You wouldn't be another homunculus, now would you?

[private; encrypted]

[identity profile] fluidshape.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 07:05 am (UTC)(link)
You've met my sister.

[private; encrypted]

[identity profile] darkdestine.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
I've spoken with her, yes.

[private; encrypted]

[identity profile] fluidshape.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
Then you already know what I am.

[private; encrypted]

[identity profile] darkdestine.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose I do.

[identity profile] fluidshape.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
What is your interest in homunculi?

[private; encrypted]

[identity profile] darkdestine.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
I am interested in many of the non-humans here.

You're a real smart guy for an android.

Don't mind me. I can never tell the difference. These things never existed where I'm from.

Still, I like the way you think.

this comment is not here, but guess who is creepering all over this post?

I'm still getting caught up on current events. Why are you immobilized, Gesicht?

[voice]

[identity profile] yippiekiyay.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
That's... weird. Any idea why?

[private][voice]

[identity profile] yippiekiyay.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Sounds like shellshock. Didn't think robots would have to worry about that.

So you're a no-go in the repair zones. Everything still tip-top if we send you to the outskirts, and the restored areas?

[private][voice]

[identity profile] yippiekiyay.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 06:03 am (UTC)(link)
Good to know.

What year is it, where you're from, anyway?

[private][voice]

[identity profile] yippiekiyay.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 06:15 am (UTC)(link)
[should've known better than to ask about comic book time]

Huh. Can I ask what kinds of abilities you have? Just so I know your specialties. I mean, does a big magnet screw you up or anything?

[private][voice]

[identity profile] yippiekiyay.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah? Out of curiosity, how does the fact that death isn't permanent here affect that programming?

[identity profile] thatsafinecoat.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
Guess it's a good ideal to have, but hate's a handy thing when you want someone to hurt.

[Voice]

[identity profile] thatsafinecoat.livejournal.com 2009-08-03 12:17 am (UTC)(link)
Not really. You can hurt someone you don't feel anything for. Seen people who hurt the ones they care about, too. Hate's just the easiest to understand.

[identity profile] darkhours.livejournal.com 2009-07-30 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
There is only one person, in my own life, who I have come to hate.

It is a complete hatred, because they were less human than maniac. They almost forced me to hurt the people I love.

They are not in this world. And if they are, I would not hesitate to stop them from hurting anyone else.

I'm with you on this one, man. I mean, I've hated Joel Schumacher more than I can even describe since 1997, but you know what? What's done is done. Some things you can fight, some things you should fight, and others you just have to let go of, because they're in the past and can't be changed no matter how many Hollywood directors you assassinate in the dead of the night.
