Okay, explain to me, in great detail, what the hell is this thing.

It kick your ass that bad, huh?

It looks like a really big guy with a giant knife and metal pyramid helmet covering his head. It seems to move slowly, but then goes fast, and it has superstrength. It was like fighting Bane, but worse because even hitting the joints didn't seem to do anything and there was no obvious weakness. And stuff... changed around it. The alley got darker and there were... things that hadn't been there before - blood and guts, mostly. And Blue Beetle ran into it before, but though he'd been imagining it because he couldn't get a read on it with his suit, so it looks like magic or some other supernatural stuff at work here.

... Shut up. It'd kick your ass worse. I just got my side cut open a bit.

I find it hard to take something with a pyramid on its head seriously. Sounds like an acid trip. Maybe the thing plays mind games.
