[There's the brief sound of steel meeting flesh, a squelching noise following shortly afterward. For a few seconds more there's silence, before another sound seeming much like someone sheathing a sword.]

[Muttered more than spoken] Now that that's over.

[Dead polymorph is dead. Have an IC!Saitou again, CnC.]

[He sounds a little tired.]

...Hey. Do we have any sake?

[A pause as he observes Kiryu's tone, before thinking that over]

We should, now.

Okay. Good. I wasn't sure if you'd gotten any more.

I think everyone's back to normal now.

It seems that way.

Hey, by the way, I have something to show you later~ It should be a good surprise.

[Sounding oh so suspicious] Oh really.

Well, I can't tell you or it wouldn't be a surprise~

But you'll like it. [laughs] Or well, you'll be proud, I guess.

[This is probably the most suspicious-sounding silence that has ever been recorded]

[Have a really excited silence in return. Really, Saitou, you don't have anything to worry about.]

[He'll be the judge of that, 'kay thanks.]

[Well, he'll be waiting out front whenever you come around.]

[And Saitou's damn curiosity is going to get the better of him, since he's not sure what Kiryu's up to. He'll find the swordsman with that same skeptic look on his face, once he finally walks up to the motel, hands in his pockets.]

[Kiryu scrambles to his feet, grinning from ear to ear.]

Hey! Let's spar!

[Saitou's going to definitely raise an eyebrow at that, sizing Kiryu up a moment, before shrugging his shoulders lightly and drawing his katana]

Alright.

[Kiryu grins again before drawing his own katana. He settles into a back-stance, ready to attack or defend when he felt like it.

And he expression goes completely blank. If Saitou tries picking up anything off him, he won't get anything. Kiryu finally figured out how to keep /every/ emotion in check, at least for a short time.]

[He quirks an eyebrow at the familiar look Kiryu has in his eyes, smirking just the slightest, before mirroring that inexpressive gaze. So he'd finally been listening. Saitou moves comfortably into his Gatotsu Ishiki stance, raising his eyebrow once more.]

You're the challenger.

[Oh, he'd been listening for a while. He just hadn't figured it out yet.

Kiryu waits another moment before starting forward, planning to go for Saitou's legs once he got close enough.]

[Saitou is alert as ever at Kiryu's movements, following both his stance and his eyes to see where they were looking -- his legs. Hn, interesting target.

For the moment the swordsman was going to borrow some of Enishi's nerve abilities to dodge not to the side, but appear behind Kiryu before he could realize Saitou had moved. Though the shadow-image of Saitou would remain for a few more seconds, at best.]

Hm.

[Kiryu blinks a little when Saitou vanishes just as he strikes out. That...hadn't happened before.

He whipped around when Saitou made a noise, staring at him curiously. Okay, so he'd figured it out, but he still couldn't keep that up for long.]

Did you get teleportation too?

[He only makes a small amused smile. Teleportation, indeed.]

No.

[And without further explanation, Saitou disappears once more, Kiryu only likely to see the shadow-images approaching some seconds later. Though Saitou isn't intending to assassinate Kiryu for any reason-- instead he makes a motion as to strike Kiryu's side with the dull end of his sword; an unnatural angle, but enough to make his point.]

You could call it 'beyond godspeed', if you like.

[Kiryu moves to block the blow, but he's definitely too slow. His sword makes contact several seconds after Saitou's touches him. If Saitou had actually been trying to kill him, he would have.]

...Wow...

I guess I really don't have a chance against you, do I?

[For the moment Saitou says nothing to that; in his own opinion, considering Kiryu had only started training a few months ago, at his age, he was doing well.]

The only time I would not hold back in fight, were if I wished to kill you.

[He'd love to know that, but it's probably better if he doesn't. His ego would go through the roof.]

Heh, so "yes". I'll just have to work on beating you while you are for now.

[Well, we certainly can't have /that/, as Saitou would more than likely bonk him on the head repeatedly.

He can't help a smirk, however, and rests comfortably once more into a Gatotsu Ishiki stance. And, well, he has to make sure Kiryu's ego doesn't fly too far.]

You said you had something to show me?

[Kiryu smirks back before settling into his own stance, pushing back his emotions again. This was so much easier now that he knew what it might be like. It was how he felt any time he might have been angry over the last week and couldn't.]

My attack again?
