[fourth turn] [voice, translated from Japanese]

Hey, so.

There's... something one of my old teachers taught me about a year ago that I wanted to see the different perspectives on. There's probably plenty of ways to word it that are better than this, but just bare with me. This is the way he put it, anyway.

So, there's a piece of trash on the ground, and there are two people. One notices the trash, but doesn't pick it up, while the other doesn't notice it at all, and therefore doesn't pick it up either. Who's more at fault?

((OOC: And he'll probably argue whatever stance people take just to get people thinking, unless it's some extraordinarily deep, thoughtful answer or something. 8D))

The one who noticed and didn't pick it up. But they both are, and the person who dropped it in the first place to leave other people to clean up after him.

Yeah, but if you don't recognize something's there, you can't fix it. If you know it's there and you choose not to fix it, it's inexcusable. Unless you reached down and the trash said it didn't want help.

It works the same with people, sometimes. [doesn't sound too thrilled about that either]

Well, yeah, I'd probably get pissed at anyone who told me they just didn't know. But I'd more annoyed with the people who knew and could have done something and didn't.

I've dealt with both too. I've just dealt more with the ones who see the problem and don't do anything about it or make it worse.
