i02 . voice
[The recording clicks on with a loud noise, crackling against the wall and dropping onto the floor with a loud noise in the foreground. In the distance, you can hear young man's voice immediately - mid sentence - in an argumentative tone.]
--east tell me why you're doing this! You can't just bring us here and expect us to cooperate - there has to be a reason!
[There's a response in a higher tone, though words are impossible to understand due to heavy interference - it's undoubtedly the same voice that greets those who come through the Porter, though. The communicator starts making a buzzing sound.]
Look, I already told you I'll help you out with whatever you need to get things in order, but I am not leaving this room until you tell me how we can get back home.
[More distorted sounds.]
I already said no! So you start giving me some real answers right now before I--
[With that, there is a very, very loud electric noise, accompanied by a scream.
Then static for a solid ten minutes, before the cold silence of the room sets back in.]
---
((ooc: WHAT IS GOING ON. While it is possible to send messages to his communicator, Mark will obviously be unable to reply. You can, however, use this post for your characters to talk to one another and for any possible action threads, that should be heard over Mark's comm until someone finds it and shuts the recording off.))

Check this, boss.
[ Walks through without opening it. ]
Destroyed a server at work this morning with that. Silver lining?
What's the plan?
[action]
[ she's already concentrating on a transport spell, eyes squeezed shut ]
You're not electric proof anymore, so I don't want to---well---you know. Not you, too.
[action]
Uh, kay. Grab and run. Got it.
[ He's not sure how this spell is going to work, so he just stands within arm's reach of Nico in case she needs to physically pull him through. ]

[action]
Is that him...oh God. Is he breathing?
[action]
But there's a pulse. That's something ]
Barely. Christ.
[action]
[ He keeps looking over his shoulder as if waiting to be proved wrong. He gets to the other side of Invincible, ready to haul him into a fireman's carry so they can go as soon as they're ready. Tries not to look too hard at the burns. ]
You gonna spell us out or are we running for the door?
[ ooc time for commute; back in ~40 ]
[action]
She could get there really fast now too. Decision made, she grabs her knapsack. Everything she needs for a job is in there.]
Okay. Okay. I can do this.
[She squeezes her eyes shut and concentrates really hard, focusing on the Porter room, with the dispenser and the monitor with the annoying voice. She wants to be there. She really does.
Nothing happens. Annoyed, she opens her eyes - and nearly falls off the console in the far corner of the room she's perched on.]
[Glancing around, she doesn't immediately see anyone. But she hears voices. Human voices, not creepy Porter voices. She can't tell much else.
She slides silently off the console, making sure not to touch the buttons and lights on it, and quietly moves towards the source. When she gets a good look at Mark, though, she forgets all about stealth.]
Holy crap! What did that thing do to him?
[action]
Suddenly, there's another woman in the room. Nico's eyes widen ]
Uh, hello?
[action] I FAIL at paying attention
Couple hundred thousand volts, I think. Though they say it's the amps that really get you.
[action] no worries /runs off to work
I-I've got first aid stuff, but it's probably not gonna cut it for burns like that. He looks like hamburger.
[She glances up as she digs through her stuff, getting a better look at the two teenagers. Neither of them look particularly scary, and even Parker can figure out they're here to help Invincible too.]
Either of you have healing powers? I'm just good at getting in and out.
