[He's not entirely certain. Logically affection is not needed, but Soundwave gets so emotional when his Cassettes are involved. It would be more productive and beneficial if that could be fixed, so he's got to try something. Explaining the percentage chance of Rumble returning to the City would likely not help, or make things worse. He knows what Soundwave desires from him... so attempting to improve the communication officer's status through that desire is a logical option... Just. The affection itself is not. Hn.]

[That's surprising and one of the last things he honestly expects from Shockwave. True, it's... what he wants, but he's never made the demand off of Shockwave. Though he supposes the fact that the scientist is attempting to step outside of his comfort zone means something.]
