I have been told about second chances before, however, I am not certain I believe in them. As long as memory is retained, then there is no ‘second’ chance - you are merely being given the opportunity to possibly correct the mistakes you made the first time. If only one party remembers, those memories will still affect the outcome of the situation, the actions and reactions of those involved.

If no one remembers anything, then it is not a second chance - it is still the first.

I wonder why the porter machine only says ‘welcome’ instead of ‘welcome back’. She did not seem interested in answering when I asked her.

Again, let me mention the fact that you were obviously not around to talk some sense into her. Oh yeah, AND SHE'S CRAZY!

Whiskey is a lot of things, Dr. Brink, but I do not believe crazy is an accurate descriptor. There is a logic to her actions, and she behaves much like a child with a limited understanding of what is best and what she should or should not do.

I am not clear on why you do not see this.

You should help her. She thinks she isn't real.

I would disagree; they over-reason, or allow their reasoning to defy sense and logic.

Perhaps you should ask her why.

Also I suspect if she only attempted, and only once, perhaps she was not trying to kill you at all. Perhaps she only wished to cause you harm.

'Not to tell her' indicates you were directed to do so, not that you made the choice yourself.
