[God damn. Aaron was on his way to the super jail when Jan posted that video. Usually-calm Aaron actually looks rather pissed as he's addressing the comm, walking toward the first outer security entrance to the jail.]

Considering we've now had two break-outs of similar nature for suspects related to The Major, I think it should go without saying that there's probably more going on than just escaping convicts. He may need them, or he could be trying to lead us off his trail.

Red Queen, I'll require any surveillance records and prisoner head counts. I want to know exactly when Jan Valentine was absent from his cell. I'll be in shortly to interrogate the guard that escorted Schrodinger. If Valentine was a separate incident, I want the guards near him as well. I'm willing to guess he found his release the same way as Schrodinger.

Has anyone traced Valentine's broadcast yet?

Officer Victoria, we may be needed your expertise... [He winces.] ...as well as that of Sir Hellsing. Undoubtedly The Major has been rebuilding, but if his plans are gaining momentum, we will need the help to head it off.

You may want to consider the influx of criminals now flooding the streets, nightclubs and usual hangouts. Something's going down and it's not just our boy Schro either. Keep your eyes peeled and I'll get you more information when I get it.

Two of The Major's supporters don't just up and walk out without his having a hand in this. Once I find out what's going on inside the compound, it may help us focus our efforts outside.

Anything you find will be helpful. I'll keep you informed as well. A larger pool of information might let us head off whatever storm The Major has brewing.

[And yikes, Sheldon looks like a kid to Aaron. If Aaron didn't see him before, Sheldon's appearance is very different than the last time.]

Agreed. If this is where I think it's going, we're in for one hell of a dance number and no shoes are gonna help this time. Okay, so we have a clue that Schro works for the Major. The Major's reporting to someone...so that's a possibility. Any idea if we can get an operative inside?

[He does a quick double take/glance at the comm, but he's too busy showing ID to get in to give it much more than that.]

The last...number involved a full-scale invasion of vampires, all of which were formerly humans under his command. He utilizes the teachings and brain-washing tactics of the Nazi regime, so any operative would require an ability to blend in to that structure. We haven't seen a return of his vampires, but I believe it remains an imminent threat.

I can't say how he filters his ranks. They range from children with an excuse for violence, to staunch supporters that were well-suited for the Third Reich.

I see. As far as Valentine is concerned, I'm in the process of tracking him down. He's not easy to catch and if my hunch is correct, it's not the only place he goes to. I'm going to assume that he's using an alias. Most do. What ties do you know that he has? Maybe it'll give me more to work with.

I captured him when he was still human. He'd recently returned from a death in Los Angeles. I tracked places that reported vampire-like activities, bodies, reports of extremely violent murders. He moves his dump locations, but he's arrogant.

Most of his connections are to The Major. Seras Victoria is more knowledgeable about his personal connections.

I see. I'll give her a little talk here soon. It seems that most of the weirdos out here are pretty arrogant.

It does seem to be a pattern in criminals around The City.

She's fought The Major and his followers before, in her own world. He is obsessed with war, he's bold enough to make this a public statement on many occasions. Valentine's satisfaction from exceedingly violent crimes seems to play right along with this.

Somehow, I'm thinking of the Bloody Valentine's Day Massacres. Correct me if I'm wrong on this but his name does seem to carry that kind of weight. I'll keep my eye out for any activity that surrounds this. It's not going to be easy with all the nuts running loose.

He's a vampire, he may very well have been alive at the time. Or he may simply aspire to that sort of conflict. At least where I'm from, it's not uncommon to take various names throughout a lifetime. Many times a touch of irony, however misplaced, is included.

It will not make it any easier, but he has been known to make enemies. Find one, and they may be willing to help, even if for a price.

What is wrong with this town!?

All right, let's get pissed later. Right now, we're going to scramble and move. Sands has the right idea, we need to start getting informants out into the streets. I'm going to authorize the budget to increase our payout stipend; hopefully that'll get some tongues wagging.

Informants, and Sands has suggested attempting to infiltrate The Major's ranks. I'm hesitant to support that move. We don't know what he'll be asking of his soldiers this time. He's turned them to vampires once, and he has killed his soldiers. We can only assume any operative would be expected to do the same while working for The Major. I'm not certain I can support that, but if it can be done...

I'm talking about getting in on the underworld gossip. Seeing who's recruiting, seeing what shipments of weaponry are moving into which hands. The Major's got to supply his guys somehow.

Weaponry, if we can track any of the large shipments. There seems to have been a general increase in weapons smuggling throughout the city recently. It may make it difficult to pin down his activities specifically. Looking into any new purchases of military uniforms, particularly costumes for World War II again might provide leads. He appeared to indulge in that sort of thing, he may still be doing so.

Major's got a weakness: he goes for style as well as simple firepower. He's not going to outfit his soldiers with an AK-47 when he can give them Mausers. And as stupid as this sounds, try to keep your eye on the "pretty" guns, the ones that'd appeal to his vanity and his delusions.

Of course. Lugers, any other Walther or Mauser pistols, MP40s. It's an extensive list that he might be interested in, but I know what to look for. I'll try to concentrate on anything the SS preferred.

Don't rule out things that are a bit newer; I'd focus on appearance and look. See if we can't bust a few of these gun runners in the process.

If it fits with the nature of his obsessions, it'll be included in items which will be watched.

All right, make me proud.

[Aaron nods at the comm and when he's asked for his ID again, he cuts the video.]

I'll talk to her about all of this. I'm sure she'll help, but she's not going to be happy about the escapes.

[She flinches as she thinks about how that conversation will go.]

I realize it will not be an easy conversation, but I believe even she will understand the gravity of the situation. Enough so, that I hope she might be willing to put aside these events just long enough to cooperate with us, to stop The Major before his plans progress too far.

She will, but she won't want to take them alive.

She may not want to, but she will have to understand this is not her organization, nor is it her world. Whatever information she has on The Major might be instrumental to stopping him, and we can't ignore the fact that she has additional knowledge about his past operations.

[She lets out a frustrated sigh.]

She's not really going to take no for an answer, but I'll try to get her to understand. She is right though. They'll just keep breaking out, and hurting people.

And if we kill them, they will continue to resurface throughout the city without a lead to their location. And those who do kill them, will be imprisoned, pulling officers off of the streets, and putting them in cells next to imports like The Joker and Valentine.

Her rules don't apply here. I don't want to arrest her for killing The Major, but it will happen if she doesn't accept this.

I know that, but he's still a war criminal. We have to find some way of making sure he doesn't get out again.

[He sounds, and looks, strained.]
I know what he is, Victoria.

We will do all that we can, but with Valentine and Schrodinger out again, they will make it more difficult to keep him incarcerated. It's not easy to accept, but that seems to be one of the many unwritten laws which govern this place.

I know. I just wish it was simple like it was back home sometimes.

This isn't back home, you know this. You should also start getting used to the fact that here, you are an Officer, and Hellsing is a citizen. A very knowledgeable citizen, but it's your job to remind her we have laws here, and The Major needs to be taken alive.

You know she's more than just a civilian, she's my commander even if I'm an officer too. But she wants the same thing we do, to protect everyone from the Major, and monsters like him.

[Aaron looks very irritated, like he wants to say something but knows he'd be better off keeping his mouth shut.]

If she's willing to work with us to stop The Major, we will appreciate her help.

I'll go find her, and let you know what she decides as soon as I can.

They have been isolated in different locations. If you like, I can observe their pulse rates and mannerisms to assist in determining the veracity of their statements.
