[The inside of the Porter's room can be seen, but the one holding it can't be seen yet.]

[The voice is distinctly Ichigo's, but it sounds unnatural and reverberates just like Shiro's voice does. When he finally notices the camera, he turns it to his face, which is covered up by an unnaturally shaped skull mask with red lines along the side.

After a moment, he reaches up and pulls off the mask, which dissolves into a black energy then fades away. When he speaks again, it's in his natural voice.]

This damn machine has the worst timing!

[He's quiet for a long time. He hasn't left the building or moved. He's just leaning against the wall. He sounds a bit defeated.] How long have I been gone?

[he doesn't pause. If he pauses, Ichigo will know something is amiss]

Tch! Oh yeah! Kick his ass handily, that damn pale bastard. No problems.

[LIES.]

[Ichigo, however, does pause. He's gotten to know you pretty well after all the time here, so you'll have to do a bit better than that.]

Shiro... How did I do it, then?

[curtly;] That'd be telling.

Oi, by the way, don't think I didn't see you comin' in with MY mask on. Try it again, without me.

What's the point in that? We already know that I can't do it without you being nearby to make it.

Just try it! Maybe YOU haven't noticed, ya big idiot, but things feel... different since I got back. Don't you feel it too?

I've noticed, but I wasn't sure what it was... Tch, fine, I'll try it.

[He reaches up to his face, hesitant for a moment, but when he tries to summon the mask, it materializes over his face, his eyes glowing yellow and the sclera stained black.]

[he narrows his eyes, feeling the pull on his own portion of their soul when he does that]

Huh. Thought it might be something like that. But this chain is still connecting us. Damn Lacheesy, fucking with us again! Tch... Seems like you can have my power now without me dissappearin'.

Now... I wonder if it goes both ways.

[he picks up the comm and walks outside... but pointedly avoids the pool, instead heading for the grassy lawn]

[Moments later, the mask crumbles and dissipates into black and red energy before disappearing.]

Huh, that's... Actually really convenient. Heh, this is going to piss of Grimmjow, I can already tell.

What are you doing? What could you borrow from me?

Hell yeah it is.

[Shiro sets down the comm so that he is in view as he sits a few feet away in the grass in a meditative position. He lets out a huff]

I am your power. I don't have to borrow that from you. But I do have to borrow your body to take my real form. Maybe that ain't the case any more. And if I'm wrong, well... I'll have a bone ta pick with that machine.

[Shiro closes his eyes and focuses before being surrounded in a pillar of black and crimson flames and the energy release is enough to knock over the camera, which now offers a really excellent view of the sky. Offscreen, the roar of reiatsu release continues for a few moments before another noise cuts in; the distinctive roar of a Hollow, with Shiro's voice mixed in. The roar of reiatsu dissipates and the sound of heavy footsteps is picked up by the microphone. A white claw picks up the camera and shows a mask not unlike the one Ichigo just had on... but the teeth are sharper, and the eyes behind the mask are definitely inhuman.

The creature hisses, letting out a bit of vapor-like smoke from the mouth of the mask]

Kssshhhrrrrrrrr. Worrrrrksss.

What the hell, man!?

[He drops his comm in surprise, but eventually picks it back up.]

You can't do that all the time, got it? That's definitely going to draw attention.

[The Hollow simply huffs in reponse, letting out another plume of white vapor]

Are you kidding!? Do you know what kind of problems there will be if everyone decides that you're dome kind of monster, which, while true, I've been trying to convince people that you're not so people don't try to kill you or treat you like a villain?

[another huff, and this time he tosses the comm away]

Not scared.

[and he just flops somewhere off camera before the comm times out. Pretty much just got hung up on, Ichigo. If you want to continue this conversation, it'll have to be at home]

[After his talk with Tensa Zangetsu, Ichigo goes out into the backyard where he finds the hollow lizard... thing, and walks over to it.]

Seriously, how long are you planning to stay like that?

[Shiro is stretched out in the sun on his belly, twitching the very tip of his tail idly. Goddamn this is a big lizard thing. He's about 15 feet long from the front of his mask to the tip of his tail. He gives Ichigo a look, narrowing his eyes to yellow slits behind his mask, then yawns gapingly. The mask's mouth opens to reveal the other mouth underneath. He just ignores his other and rolls over, turning his back on him and ruffling his fur collar a bit]

H-Hey! Don't just ignore me!

[He walks over to Shiro, looking over the creepy yet familiar form. Even though Ichigo hadn't seen it before, he wasn't scared or anything... It was like he knew it.]

What the hell is your problem?

[omg go away I am TRYING TO SUNBATHE HERE. Shiro rolls back over and gets up on all fours, then on his hind legs, looking down at Ichigo and growling, low in his throat. Yeah he's also about three, four feet taller than you are]

Go. Not want.... talk, kssshhrrrrrrrrrrr.

[He turns, knocking Ichigo over with his tail in the process and then lumbers off to another part of the lawn and lays right back down]

[omg stop being a dick, we should probably talk about whatever the fuck just happened to us. Ichigo doesn't flinch when Shiro stands up taller than he is, but he was easily knocked down by the heavy tail, since he didn't expect it.]

Fine, be like that. [He grumbles and gets back on his feet, dusting himself off.] It's not like you can even talk in that stupid form anyway.

[Shiro is so sick of your grumbling. Maybe if he talks to you, you'll go away His form dissolves away like the flaking of old paint, leaving him back in his humanoid form, save for those wicked claws, long hair and a much smaller, thinner tail, which he twitches. Thankfully, his shihakusou comes back into being, no nakedness! He rolls over, leaning his cheek on his hand]

Oi, you wanna talk, fine. I was just gonna go to sleep or something.

[he sits up and stretches]

Tch, I don't care. I only tried because you were the one acting like I hurt your feelings. [That was tsun level 99]

You must be pretty happy to be back, huh?

[DAMN. That tsun was powerful. Shiro huffs and stands up, brushing some crispy summer grass off his clothing] Ne, since when do you care about my feelings? Hah!

[Shiro's quiet for a second, looking over at the pool... grr...] I am. Being stuck in your inner world again was terrible. Not like I knew any different, while I was there.

[Ichigo tsuns the best!] Who said I gave a damn about your feelings? I just can't have you being all sad and stuff...

What happened while we were at home?

Tch! Like I'm ever sad! [lies]

[more silence. He rubs a hand through his long hair, tail lowered. He has a few options here; tell Ichigo how it really went down, get a few laughs at his misery, then have to deal with his emo shit for... possibly months. Orrrrrr he can interpret the question a different way! Yes] Ya mean here in the City? Tch. Nothin'. Besides those damn Arrancars comin' over and wrecking the place.

I know that already, and it's not what I meant. I'm talking about back home...

[Shiiiiit. Crisis NEARLY averted... he still has a few split seconds to figure out a good answer. He laughs a little, derisively, and shrugs his shoulders, turning his back on Ichigo]

Ne! Who cares! It doesn't matter here. Don't concern yourself with things like that.
