[video] In which Annabeth does something stupid.
[When the screen comes to life, it's moving rapidly, until it stops, set down on a table, with Annabeth and her couch in view. She has apparently shoved most of Aphrodite's stuff to the side so there was room for her to sit.]
[She keeps glancing at the screen but not as though she were looking at the camera, more like she is looking at something on the screen, and she keeps checking it to make sure she's getting it right. More than likely she bumped the transmit button while bringing up an image. She holds both her hands out in front of her, palms flat and pressed together on the sides like a little platform.]
Okay, I can do this. I made a whole brick wall, I can do this...
[Her voice is a whisper, mostly directed at herself, and then she closes her eyes, concentrating. Slowly the air above her palm shimmers and shifts at something begins to take shape on the palms of her hand. It's a tube, an inch or so wide and eight or nine inches thick. A red light begins to appear at the end, and a large number of small gadgets and buttons and flips and switches, small enough to manipulate without getting in the way of holding it, sprout from the sides. To people who have seen them before, it looks remarkably similar to the Doctor's 'Sonic Screwdriver.']
[After perhaps twenty seconds though, something goes wrong. The tube seems to bend and crack before folding back into its proper shape, the little light fizzles out and reforms, the dials shift and click, getting bigger and smaller. Annabeth's face scrunches up in concentration, her eyes opening now to stare at the slowly malforming shape. She's obviously concentrating very hard, and after a few seconds the shape appears to correct itself, sliding back into the stable shape it should hold.]
[Though she doesn't seem to notice, a trail of blood is suddenly running out of her left nostril, stopping just above her lip. As she stares at the shape, her eyes also appear to bloodshot out, as if some intense pressure were weighing upon them. A few seconds after that, the shape begins to malform again and she hisses in irritation, her fingers curling as if to grasp it and somehow reshape it manually, but the motion just makes it worse, and her concentration breaks with a gasp.]
[The 'finished result' clatters to the table, a curved, broken, useless tool with a slowly dying red light flickering on and off. Annabeth just sits there, her hands dropping into her lap.]
That should have...
[When she speaks, a bit of blood gets into her mouth from her nose, and she lifts a finger up, pressing into trail and holding it up in front of her face.]
Oh man...
[She stands slowly, wobbling, and takes a few steps, nearly off screen before her kneels buckle and she collapses onto the floor.]

...mmr...Sally?
video;
Do you need anything? Ice, bandages?
video;
My head feels...weird.
[She's still not actually moving.]
video;
video;
...m'yea, probably....
video;
ooc: do you want to handwave or action or anything?
video;
[I'm fine with actioning it out if you are.]

Action
I'm going to help get you to like the couch, okay? Then I'll get you water or something. Maybe a tissue or two?
[If she can find any.]
Action
Not sure...what happened...
Action
What exactly were you trying to make?
Action
Uh. That guy, the uh, the doctor? He had this tool, he called it a 'Sonic Screwdriver.'
[She just waved at the very broken version on the table.]
Action
I think maybe no more trying to make that weird thing again. Regular screwdrivers work really well.
Action
[She laughs, which almost immediately turns into a very obvious wince of pain.]
My head hurts so bad...
Action
[Sally digs in her purse and pulls out a bottle]
Action
This should've stopped by now... Do you...think I should go see a doctor or something?
[She's actually a little freaked out.]
Action
[She makes sure to sound calm. Sally doesn't want to freak her friend out anymore than she already is.]
Action
[Annabeth never really got sick. Demigods kinda got pretty lucky in that respect. So the whole idea was weird to her. But she'd never had a nose bleed that wouldn't stop, either. Triggered by some sort of...she wasn't even sure. Power backlack?]
I think maybe I...better. Everything that doesn't hurt feels sort of...fuzzy.
Action
A check up is probably a good idea then. The doctors will be able to give you something for the pain and fuzziness.
Action
I'm sorry about this...
Action
[She takes out her phone and calls ahead to let the clinic know they're on their way.]
Action
Headache is getting kinda worse. I should've known this...was a stupid idea...
Action
It's going to be okay.
Action
Hope so. Making a screwdrivers a stupid way to die.
[She laughs softly, then winces again.]
Action
[She speeds up just a little.]
Action
[Totally more leaning on and such. Leaaaan.]
Action
[Sally sees the clinic up ahead and keeps a steady pace.]
Action
It's how i got that grey streak in my hair cause, even Demi-gods aren't really, ya know...supposed to...
[She sounds kinda sleepy as she talks.]
Action
[Sally gets them to the clinic doors and tries to sound hopeful.]
We're here. So you're going to be just fine and you can tell me more about this story later on, okay?
Action - Fast forward past doctory stuffs? *kinda guessing what the clinic is like*
[She makes it through the doors with Sally's help and over to the desk. When she explains what happened, with Sally's help again, she's almost immediately taken into the back for x-rays and examinations and such. Woosh.]
Action - I think you're good!!
Action - I think you're good!!
...Did you really wait the whole time?
Action
[She hands the bear to Annabeth and sits down on the chair beside the bed.]
Do they have any idea what's wrong?
Action
Thanks, Sally...
[She is quiet for a minute or two, trying to sort through the haziness to explain what the Doctor had said to her.]
Uhm. Apparently I popped a blood vessel? Like...here. [She taps a spot at the top of her forehead just behind her hairline.]
Action
[She's not too sure, but she's hopeful it isn't anything awful...]
Action
[She smiles sheepishly.]
But they said that one of the healer people can fix it. And...I am not supposed to try and use my powers like that again 'cause, just...it would be bad.
Action
You seriously better not. Just think of a normal screwdriver! They work just as well!!
Action
[She shrugged, but she did look at least a little apologetic. for a second, anyway..]
And you saw, I almost got it right!
Action
[Stern!Sally looks stern.]
Re: Action
Fine, fine. No more weird sci-fi tools...
Action
Action
[She shakes her head though.]
I can manage one night without my stuff, you already did enough for me.
Action
Action
That sounds great.
Action
Okay. I'll stop by and see you tomorrow. Get some sleep, Annabeth.
