Eventually, you get a glimpse of a kid who resembles a distant cousin of Gerard Way, with messy hair, guyliner, and an Initiative cadet t-shirt. When he finally speaks, it's a little gruff, and obviously irritated-- ]

Yeah, look. Just so you know? I've already fulfilled my superhero recruitment quota for this week. I'll pass on the alternate universe hero cliche, thanks.

And no, the fancy Blackberry on steroids doesn't make it any better.

Great. So, basically, nobody knows anything. That's what everybody wants to hear when they get shoved into an alternate universe. [ He makes a little annoyed sound. ] At least I can't hurt anybody I know here.
