Busy past couple of weeks. Busy enough I haven't been able to pay attention much to this thing. If there's anything important that needs to be brought to my attention that you couldn't have done so through my phone line proper or to my face, now is a good time.

Otherwise, I have a question to pose of the more culinary bunch of you out there. Zatanna and I have taken it upon ourselves to make the best casserole. Every Saturday we've been making a couple, trying some concoctions out. Don't ask why, because those details are unimportant to this now. If you have any recipes or any suggestions to put into one, we are both all ears.

Oh, I guess some vegetarian [he says that with horror, but a horror that he doesn't realize he's putting behind the word] suggestions would be good, too. Since she doesn't eat meat. [Man, srsly, dudes, can you believe that?]

Don't you even be like that. My point is, I don't know anything about your world except what you have told me and a couple cheesy television shows from my youth. If it was some big deal, you should have mentioned it before saying his name like I should KNOW I shouldn't call him Batman.

He didn't appear as Batman, so you shouldn't call him Batman. Barry's still going secret identity here, too, you know. So it'd be nice if you didn't reveal his to everyone ever that want to kill him.

I mean, both of them were dead already. If anything happens to Bruce, I'll... [She trails off, but she looks less angry now. Just like she's going to cry if she thinks more on the subject.]

What, I'm not supposed to refer to Barry as the Flash either? [Not that he has, he prefers NOT to call people by their stupid superhero names when possible.] Maybe Batman should change his name, since most people like me aren't going to think it's such a big damn deal.

[Maybe a little less angry.] I doubt anything would happen to him more than has happened to me, with or without this identity. [Pause.] I mean, I died that one time, but that was more of a choice--and I came back after all.

You call Barry his name unless he's in the costume. And vice-versa. [SHUT YO FACE LASSI or she'll shut it for you. Well, probably not. But the threat is scary, right?]

That's not the same. [She's quiet, looking down at her feet, fidgeting with the hem of her shirt.] He's been dead for more than a year back home.

Ah, well . . . he seems to be doing fine? [Awkward pause.] I--listen, I didn't call to fight or even really talk about however you want me to call him. I just missed you; thought I'd see if you wanted to come over.

Not whatever. Letting someone's secret identity slip not only puts them in danger, but anyone they care for. [Jerk.]

He does, yeah. It's so much better than thinking he was burnt alive by Darkseid or, or whatever. [She stops fiddling with her clothing and looks up.] Um. Yeah. Sure. I guess.

Look, you can't get mad at people like me for not realizing this. Hell, most of us being sent here are given super hero names that we don't even stick to let alone follow the whole secret identity thing. I know half the heroes from worlds like yours on a first name basis even! I just didn't know. I'll try my best, all right?

Hmm. [Sorta panicked but trying not to be clingy even though he wants to be.] You don't have to if you don't want to...if you're upset at me and all.

Like I said, I was busy. It's hard to fill someone in on everything that happened while they were dead. Plus, I've got the job at the Institute.
