[Voice] Backdated a few hours to just after the conclusion of his log with the Fallen

[[There's something a bit odd with the audio. Maybe it's the utter silence, maybe it's the strange echo, but it doesn't sound like Bakura's at any of his usual places he posts at, and when he speaks, he sounds a bit nervous and tired a the same time.]]

Is anyone good at figuring out where someone is when there's no cell phone signal? Can these be traced when you're outside of the City?

I-- I don't know where I am.

The person who was on your couch. Somehow I never got his name. [[and there's the sound of a small covered yawn]]

[half confused, half...wary?]

[Vector doesn't say anything for a few moments - but his comm does slip out of his hands, dropping to the floor.]

[the comm hits the ground, flipping settings - and revealing Vector standing there, pale and tense as he stares at where the comm /was/.]

[after what seems like forever but is really just about ten seconds, Vector finally mutters something-]

[-before reaching over to pick the comm back up.]

Ohhh, something wrong, Vector~?

Now is not the time.

[ooh, he not happy.]

Good. I would hate for Shockwave to lose his favorite chess partner. Or whatever they do.

[CLEARING OF THE THROAT NONE OF THAT WAS NOTHING NOTHING HAPPENED HUSH.]

[[Pauses. That thing nagging at the back of his brain? Starting to surface now]]

[[and there's a moment of dead silence]]

... That's-- that's the same person who... who... when Safeguard.... [[voice sounding very faint there as he trails off.

That feeling where you realize that you were just inches away from something VERY BAD? Yeah, he has that right now.]]

He killed Safeguard.

And nearly killed me when I sought vengeance.

[softly, but solemnly.]

He did not kill you, and for this, I am grateful - though not to him. But heed my words; the best defense you have against him is for you to not even cross his processor.

I didn't realize... [[yeah, rather shaken right there. Oh god, if he had gotten killed again... no, no. Not even thinking about that!]]

Something about chess, isn't it? Vader, Palpatine, now this person too... [[said mostly to himself as he rests his forehead in his palm]]

Now you do.

[he exhales heavily, rubbing his own face.]

Take the lesson from this, my friend, and let it not happen again. This is what can be taken from it.
