I was nine, my father was cruel and my mother was coddling me. She gave me weakness.

On the other, I loved her. And due to that? I'd say they were equally damning to my condition.

But if I didn't love her as much as I did, I wouldn't have confronted my father when his abuse towards her came too far. I probably wouldn't have shot her if I didn't want to defend her in the first place.
