Eighth Inquiry [voice] BACKDATED TO 3AM

You now, there are some questions that you'll be unlikely to ever get an answer to you can share. Not entirely impossible, as this place has proven, but the usefulness of the information, how it may apply to anyone else, is always suspect.

I've got one in particular in mind, but the answers will probably be different between here and home, and there's good odds they'll vary from person-to-person.

But I'm using a lot of words to make a very simple inquiry. [sorry everyone, he probably hasn't slept in a few days] What do you think happens when you die? Or, at the very least, between when you die here and when she decides to bring you back?

I have my own thoughts, of course, but my answers aren't important right now. Just the question.

I know. Us magicfolk have like, all of the "doctors."

I'm talking about Occult, mostly. I think he's had the same trenchcoat and fedora for the past hundred years, if not longer.

I'm sure he likes it that way. He isn't really a... people person. Or an animal person. Or a ghost, zombie, goblin, demon... anything person. And yet I still had this massive crush on him as a teenager.

And how did he feel about that?

Well, I was a teenager and he was already something like a hundred years old. Do you really think I'd tell him? Nope, just poorly written love notes littered with hearts in my diary about how cool he was.

Well, and he was an acquaintance of my father's. He was always really protective of me.

If while he was here, my father had found out I was sort-of seeing him -- [sleeping with him with no strings attached, either or] -- back home? I'd say he should probably start running for the hills.

Occult, of course. For all his talk, I don't think he'd have the guts to stand up to my father. My father could be downright scary when it came to me. [She pauses. ;;] He was a great father.
