[Well lookie here, it’s everyone’s favorite blue-haired robot pointing the camera up at his face and smiling awkwardly. He’s got a bunch of grease smudges on his face, plus a generally rumpled sort of “has been sleeping in his clothes and also probably on a couch for two weeks” look about him, but he seems cheerful enough.]

Hi! Uh, I’m not sure if this kind of thing gets posted here much, but... well, I figured some of you out there might be interested, and I thought I’d give you guys the first pick, you know?

[And with that needlessly vague lead-in, Bruno holds the camera out and pans it side to side a bit to show a wider angle of—oh, that’s what he’s talking about.]

[So he’s standing in the middle of… uh… well, it sort of looks like the general layout of a MAC apartment, except for the fact that it… appears to be a small mechanic’s garage. Filled with motorcycles. ALL KINDS of motorcycles. Seriously if it can fit through the front door then there is totally at least one bike like it in here. A bunch of them are clearly only half-built or very very rough around the edges, but a just as many of them you could easily imagine lined up on a dealership sales floor. Turning the camera back up to his face now:]

So… since I’m living in here again, I kind of need to free up some more space. [... UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE CENTURY. Bruno rubs the back of his neck a little.] So I think I need to sell a few of these. Er, pretty soon.

[And now he flips the camera around wholesale and starts walking up and down the few little rows of bikes, stopping to get a few good angles each on the nice finished-looking ones. You can still hear him talking in the background.] They’re all road legal—with taillights and license plate holders and everything, I mean—and I won’t charge a whole lot or anything. This is pretty much just something I do in my spare time.

[And back to the face! Bruno’s smiling again, brighter this time.] I know there are at least a few other motorcyclists out there on the Network. If you see something you like, go ahead and reply!

[(Oh, by the way, the very sharp may have noticed that the walls have some kind of soundproofing material on them. But if you other MAC denizens ever happen to have heard some strange engine revving noises that seemed to somehow be coming from a few units away... um. Well, I guess that’s one mystery solved?)]

[Filtered to CASSANDRA CAIN (in VOICE ONLY hmmmm)]

[Trying to keep the giddy self-satisfaction out of his voice. Only halfway succeeding.] Have you got some free time later today? There’s something I wanna show you.

[And while he’s speaking it kinda sounds like he’s... walking across the apartment and opening a door?]

[Filtered to KIRYU and ALASTAIR also now in VIDEO AGAIN]

[And now we have Bruno stepping into what looks like it was the bedroom once (judging by the carefully disassembled bed components and mattress leaning flat against the wall) but is now mostly filled with various tools and, parked in the center of the floor, two more bikes: this one in the background, and the one camera is pointing at. Not even bothering to hide the giddy self-satisfaction anymore.]

It’s almost done. The saddle came in the mail today, I just need to let my guy at the shop know which parts of the faring design I want him to go ahead and punch out. Should we go for full faring or a more streetfighter-y kind of look?

... Also, what’s Bakura’s favorite color?

[Awkward chuckle.] Well, I have been tinkering around in here for nearly a year now.

And, since Ruka and Lupin moved out of the old house. James is living there with his wife and kid now I think, and I thought it'd be good for it to be mostly his family and friends from his world there.

[[Huh]] I hadn't realized that...

[[someone's been kinda outta touch. Whoops.]]

You know you can always get an apartment here, if you'd like. Since it looks like you're a little cramped to live in your workshop.

[Rubbing the back of his neck again with a derpy expression!] Yeah, that's really all I ever used this apartment for before now. Which is... why I've never really invited people over much. Um. [Glances around at this DISASTER AREA yeahhh Bruno is kind of regretting not keeping it tidy now that he has to live in here, whoops.]

[And back to the camera with a gentle smile.] Nah, thanks, but I'm okay for now. I'd been planning to move back into the Mac ever since Ruka and Lupin mentioned leaving. I'd just... figured I'd be living with Yuusei again, before... y'know.

[The smallest forlorn little beat goes here and he glances away from the camera.]

A-anyway, I'll definitely think about it, but... I think I'll stay here for a while.

[[Bakura totally understands. I mean, have you seen his studio? Granted it's tidy, but it's also stuffed to the gills!]]

Yuusei never really has much luck sticking around, does he? [[a soft, almost rueful smile]]

Yeah... [And this forlorn pause goes on a little longer...]

[Attempting to shift the subject to something only slightly less depressing.] So, I heard he'd been here before? I know that when we both showed up here last year it was the first time either of us had been so far as we knew, but...

[... but this place can mess with your memory okay maybe this subject is just equally depressing after all.]

Yeah. I think this was his third time. He was here when I first arrived, but not for very long.

Third??

[Long pause.]

... Is there any way to know... whether or not you've been here before?

[[Oh dear.]]

Check old network posts, I guess. Or if people remember you from before.

[[a hesitation]]

Worried about something?

... Yeah, I guess.

[A pause, then a soft grunting exhalation like a verbal head-shake.]

It's-- nothing, it's just... for all I know, I could have been here before and just never remembered it. Not because of the Porter, but because of...

[Trails off with an uncomfortable sigh.]

Ruka-chan would have remembered if you had been, she's been here almost as long as anyone, after all.

[[a bit of a pause]]

You'll get those memories back someday, I'm sure of it. Until then... just make lots of new ones to fill that space and try not to think on it.

She might not even have known. Not if I-- [... And this time he really does seem to think better of what he was about to say, instead of just vaguely trailing off.]

[Even longer pause.]

I know. ... Thanks.

If you want to talk about it, I'll listen. [[the implied "And not tell anyone else" is all but spoken there too.]] Sometimes... it helps to just talk about things. Even the crazy sounding ones. [[especially the crazy sounding ones...]]

[Seems to really think about it for a second there. Then...]

No, it's-- it's not really a big deal, it just... something that popped into my head, is all. I'll just check the comms if I'm curious, like you said.

[beat. Then, in a quiet, genuine voice:]

[Disconnects.]
