[ It's Bob -- well, no, it's the Sentry -- and he's in his room at the Avengers Mansion, standing by the window. ]

Um -- I'm not sure if there's a protocol for this or an etiquette of some kind, but those of you who knew Black Bolt of the Inhumans should know that I think that he's gone. [ His brow furrow slightly. ] We were sharing this room but I haven't seen him in a couple of days, and I can't get a hold of him, either.

[ He hesitates for a moment before continuing. ]

But I guess this could be as good an opportunity as any to move back in permanently, if none of you mind. If he comes back we'll figure something out again.

I have noticed that, as well. [ He smiles, just a bit. Where is he safer, is the real question? ]

Do you know if he would be--capable of retaining his memories in such an event?

He won't remember while he's... but if he comes back, a lot of people remember when they come back. I did. [ He shakes his head. ] But I don't know the hard percentages for that kind of thing.

Mm. [ Charles frowns, and hangs his head for a moment. ]

[ It takes Charles a moment, but he shakes his head. ]

Ah--the second. Though it is still just as, nn, unexpected.

[ Bob is quiet, but he nods. ]

It always is. It's unsettling.

I agree. [ A polite pause, before Charles starts again. ]

I'm sorry -- I do not believe we've met. I am Charles Xavier.

[ He raises his eyebrows and opens his mouth, then closes it, then smiles. ]

Uh -- you're right. I'm the Sentry. Or just Robert.

[ Charles smiles politely then. In light of the situation, it's nice to share something rather normal. ]

It's nice to meet you, Robert.

You too, Pro-- [ Uh. ] Charles. Have you been adjusting okay?

[ A smile, and he nods -- looking almost picked up in his mood now. He is rather optimistic, so it doesn't take him long for his expression to shift to one of pleasure. ]

I have been. Have you been here long? [ A beat. ]

Ah--I am a professor, if that is what you were about to say.

Do you mind being called Professor? [ He smiles thinly -- that's just what he's used to. ] I've been here for almost a year. It goes by pretty quickly.

I have noticed that, myself. I believe it has been about four months for me--though it has gone by so quickly. [ He chuckles, and nods. ]

I don't mind; ah, I'm becoming rather used to it.

It's not all that different from back home. Uh -- or where I come from, anyway. Monsters included.

[ Charles chuckles softly at that and he nods. ] That is a sentiment I've heard.

Where are you from? It sounds as though I might already be familiar, through others.

New York. A different New York, but still not that different. Even down to StarkTech.

[ Charles smiles at that. He's learned quite a bit, but not that much, not yet. He's still picking up on the details. ]

Ah, yes, Mr Stark's company--? [ it's like weaving a tapestry these things ]

[ Eyebrows lifting with recognition, he nodded. ]

Ah, yes. Angelica mentioned being an Avenger.

Is there not a team here as well?

There is -- it's just not [ HHHHMMMM -- briefly pauses looking for the word. ] as active. Things kind of come in cycles here, there's not much to keep us out in between.

[ Charles frowns somewhat as he considers his next words. ]

I suppose it could border on deplorable to lament the lack of such activity--it would imply that there were many more enemies in your home world. Were there?

Yes. Well, yes and no. Some of the people here are from some of the same worlds as some of the criminals here. I think there's an element of possessiveness to it... except in emergencies, of course. [ He tilts his head. ] But there were more back home. There were a lot.

[ Charles narrows his eyes as he considers those words more thoroughly, frowning ever still. His eyes remained downcast. ]

I'm told my own world is a version of yours. It... speaks volumes that there would be such danger, not even so far in the future. Mm, shocking..--upsetting information.

I often wonder where it would be safer; here or there.
