I've decided I'm sick and tired of ordering take-out all the time, so I'm going to learn how to cook. [ lol guess who didn't tell his roomie about this. ] I've got one recipe book, but if anyone's got any suggestions for things to try, they'd be very welcome.

[ there's a pause here and then, in a slightly more hesitant tone: ]

I might also need to know where I can buy a fire extinguisher.

Anyway, couldn't you make the things that you like to eat?

Ovens aren't so bad. I hadn't used one before I came here either, but as long as you put it to the right temperature and keep an eye on it, you can't really go wrong.

[ She might've cheated with magic a bit. But the point still stands! ]

I don't think you can cook spaghetti in an oven.

Exactly. That thing.

No idea how that works, but it seems to cook things when it's used right.

Yeah, that I can use fairly well, but it's pretty much only good for TV dinners and reheating things.

I like the trial and error method. As long as you don't undercook anything or start any fires.
