Good afternoon, City. It’s been almost a year, hasn’t it? It’s certainly not unwelcome to be back –- I’ve missed numerous people, and if they’re still here, I’d appreciate it if they’d make their presence known.

[Diana's already settled inside her MAC apartment, having arrived earlier that day. She's gone through the communicator records right up to her arrival, but she's not going to be bringing any of that up. It's best to end her return post on a positive note.]

I should introduce myself, since I understand that most of you may not be familiar with me. There are many who know me as Wonder Woman, but please, call me Diana. I've made a lot of friendships here previously, and I do hope to make many more during my current stay.

I noticed. [Her voice is gentle.] I'd tell you to stay positive, but it looks like I don't need to.

It was all kind of fast and...just. Messy. I had to stop somebody.

[There's a very, very pained twist on the word 'stop' going on there.]

So, uh. Are you happy to be back?

I suppose 'happy' isn't the right word, but I'm not opposed to being brought here, especially since it gives me a chance to talk to those I wouldn't have had the opportunity to in our world.

Yeah... [Charlie nodded.] There's so many people here I wouldn't want to leave behind at this point.

We really just have to make the most of our stay here, don't we? [Never mind that it will hurt all the more when people leave.]

Sometimes, I kinda think I...don't really wanna go back.

That line of thought is understandable, especially since you've been here for a while. But don't you have anything to return to, back home?

[Charlie thinks about that for a moment.]

Babs and Helena are still at home. Besides them...

The friends we make here are just as valuable -- the City has its merits, doesn't it? If you want to remain here, don't fault yourself for it.

I don't! Most of the time, I mean...I've been here almost two years! It's...pretty much home, now. I've never gotten sent back even once.

But sometimes I feel kinda bad, I mean...everybody comes back and tells me stuff that's going on and I'm missing it all since I'm here.

You shouldn't feel bad over something that isn't in your power to change. The City obviously makes you happy, but that doesn't mean you've stopped caring about what's happening back home.
