[Her tone shifts— she realizes she's being unfair, but she's had a bad day and doesn't really care.]

I had a student who once entertained the thought of keeping notes of what he learned here, that they might potentially return with him, if kept on his person.

He's on his third iteration since, now, and has never once recalled what I mean when I bring up the topic.

No. It's just hard to keep secrets when they're written on your body.

Fair enough. It wouldn't do unless you could have them removed, or at least covered somehow.

Not exactly, the purpose of the tattoo would be to, hypothetically I must stress, carry information across the dimensional divide, so it would really be more for your own viewing than anyone else's.

Assuming it even worked, which I find unlikely.

Sure, but if you could hide it from random observers, there's a good chance you'd be hiding it from yourself. With the mindwipes. And all that.

I don't like keeping actionable intelligence on my body, in any case.

Well, at least until you eventually happened to discover the layer of false skin, which, depending on how well it's designed, would be most effective if unnoticed.

But no, it really wouldn't work in any practical manner.
