31st Memo- Voice
Before the festivities tomorrow, I figure someone has to make a clear-cut suggestion- especially since a good amount of us, no doubt, partakes in getting inebriated or otherwords shit faced.
Keep your dumb drunk asses out of trouble.
No one needs to see anyone flying without pants on.
Also, for those who care, Severus Snape seems to have ported out. [There's a slight pause] Sorry to those that will miss him.

[voice]
Got to tie up a few loose ends here, and I'll be over.
[voice]
action!
Hey it's me.
[She calls to him, that way he doesn't figure its one of his charity cases that comes by for food.]
action!
Well, well. I guess you weren't in the usual hurry if you're not coming in by window~. Come in, make yourself comfortable.
no subject
Nah, I was in the neighborhood dropping a cat off.
[She walked back to the kitchen with him, but relaxed against a counter he wasn't currently using. She liked watching him cook. It was a nice distraction anyhow]
What are we having?
no subject
[he heads right back to where he left off, checking what's already on the stove]
I hope you don't mind something not related to the holiday. I looked up some of the recipes since they're plastered everywhere today, and they all sounded terrible. Heavy and unpleasant. So I went for chicken almondine with broccoli. [a smirk over his shoulder] At least broccoli is green?
no subject
Hey, it's not severed human limbs- it can be orange and I wouldn't care. Sounds great.
[She finally decides to respond to the cat question.]
Severus left a cat behind, so I passed it on to his Godson. I'm not really a "pet" kind of girl. I've got all the companionship I want.
no subject
So. This...Severus guy. [trying to sound all casual] How'd you know him?
no subject
[She didn't know how to feel about the fact that him leaving supposedly meant he was dead. She suddenly got a bit tense, glaring, and looking away]
Why should I feel so crappy about him leaving? Does it really make much of a difference that him being ported out means he's going to die? He's not here anyway. This is so stupid.
no subject
...he got ported back to his own death? Well. Shit.
You remember last summer, Luffy's brother Ace? He wasn't here very long, but. [the chopping resumes, as he talks over his shoulder] He was dead, back home. His time here...all we could do was be happy that he had a few extra weeks to see his brother and hang out with friends. A few that he didn't have back home. I'm not saying that this guy going home to being dead is something to brush off, but...I guess it just happens. Even to the best of us.
no subject
I guess. I should hope he'd find his way back here. He was a decent guy, and an amazing soldier. The man deserved a life. It sucks to know he probably was just getting started with one here before he left.
[Callie didn't find it necessary to tell Sanji she had slept with him. It seemed like unnecessary information, especially since it was before their relationship got serious. Past canoodling was past canoodling.]
But you're right. No point in letting it get to me. I just... really liked him.
[She hasn't been this upset since Hellboy. She might've felt a little worse because of the canoodling.]
no subject
Yeah, it's all shitty, I'll give you that. Wouldn't have guessed that he was anything like a soldier, though.
[everything he's preparing is going well, so he's got a couple of free minutes to sashay over, caress her cheek, and smile for her]
Can I get you something to drink? My booze selection is stellar as always.
no subject
I can get us some wine. You just keep cooking, baby.
[She gave him a wink before moving to the wine rack.]
So, not a pet guy. Why's that?
no subject
Never really had one. Chopper doesn't count, he's not a pet - he's crew. [shrug] Some ships need cats to catch mice, but even the Baratie was kept cleaner than clean so we didn't need one.
no subject
[She fills two glasses with a nice red wine, and sets one on the kitchen counter. She swirls hers a bit and smells it before taking a small sip.]
I was more concerned about other stuff... like teaching him how to sick someone. He was pretty damn cute, though.

[he's now on to creating eye-pleasing plates of chicken almondine, with a fragrant pilaf and steamed broccoli, garnish and everything. He can't help it, it's what he does]
no subject
[She eyes him a bit as he worked. It really was pretty damn appealing- watching him make food. Even the apron was cute.]
Who was Moria?
no subject
Damn pirate warlord. He had a mad-scientist type working for him to build zombies out of body parts, and then he'd take the shadows from his captives using his devil-fruit ability and cram the shadows into the zombies to make them live. [clearly irritated...mostly because the fucker took his shadow]
no subject
Sounds like a conniving ass.
[She was almost impressed. She had to appreciate a man who could cause mayhem in an innovative way. She does notice Sanji's irritation.]
How'd you take him down?
no subject
It's a long story. The whole crew was in on it, though, we all played our parts. [turning wistful for a moment] I almost died that morning...twice...hm. Hell of a fight, that was. Ah, but I'm getting nostalgic at the wrong time - have a seat at the table, my dear, and dinner will be promptly served!
no subject
Huh. Mention you almost died twice and you're nostalgic about it?
[She sips her wine]
You really are looking for a fight like that?
no subject
Oh, I'm in no hurry to die, don't get me wrong. I just hate meaningless fights. The kind that settle nothing, prove nothing.
[he settles in across from her and just sips at his wine, wanting her to take the first taste and approve or disapprove of his main course] ...mmm, now, remember the time we fought together against all those demonspawn? That was really something.
