( here is donna, sitting at her office desk and smiling at the communicator. she’s twirling a lock of hair around one finger in a distracted gesture, and it’s only after a moment or two that she begins speaking. )
So, the doom and gloom. We get a lot of it around here, don’t we? Explosions and alien invasion and nefariously shadowed organizations… sometimes it’s hard to look past that and remember the good things, isn’t it? But it’s been easier for me, lately. And I’m more than grateful for that.
( her smile widens here—between diana arriving and other things going on in her life, donna’s been having a good month. )
They say the better you know someone, the easier it should be to buy gifts for them, right? But I think, at a point, the opposite becomes true. For the friend I’m thinking about, I ran out of good ideas years ago. But there is one thing I can still do for him, so…
If you’re a friend of Dick Grayson, we’re having a little surprise party for him on Saturday. Nothing too fancy, just some food and good company to help remind him that he’s another year older. ( heh. )
As for the rest of you, Cityzens, what are you grateful for? Has the past month or so been good for you?

Hey there, birthday boy. Any chance I can borrow you for a few hours on Saturday?

How's your friend doing? City treating him good?

I think, for him, it's a mixed bag--like it is for all of us. But I'm hoping to highlight the good for him this week.
