So, the doom and gloom. We get a lot of it around here, don’t we? Explosions and alien invasion and nefariously shadowed organizations… sometimes it’s hard to look past that and remember the good things, isn’t it? But it’s been easier for me, lately. And I’m more than grateful for that.

They say the better you know someone, the easier it should be to buy gifts for them, right? But I think, at a point, the opposite becomes true. For the friend I’m thinking about, I ran out of good ideas years ago. But there is one thing I can still do for him, so…

If you’re a friend of Dick Grayson, we’re having a little surprise party for him on Saturday. Nothing too fancy, just some food and good company to help remind him that he’s another year older. _{( heh. )}

I think the right kind of explosion can be, sure. But when buildings are falling and people are getting hurt? Not so much.

Boyfriend wants me to move in with him-- which is a huge step in-- a direction. Seems a little crazy, but it's a good crazy, I think. A huge jump up from skrull madness-- so that's my ray of personal sunshine.

How's your friend doing? City treating him good?

Wow--congratulations! Please tell me you have dibs on decorating privileges.

I think, for him, it's a mixed bag--like it is for all of us. But I'm hoping to highlight the good for him this week.

Ha ha-- no, no. I don't. If I do end up doing so -- I'll still be maintaining the house, anyway. [...long story, but it comes from dating a villain that you're trying to gently nudge away from crime.]

Well, I've been locked in the boardroom for nine hours with four interns and eight board members who'd all be a lot happier if I just happened to go poof on the eleventh hour.
