[Tali's been thinking a lot about Legion, lately. It might be because it had died right in front of her, or it might be because up until a few moments before his death, she hadn't been certain of whether he cared for her or wanted to kill her.

It had been the latter, it turned out.]

Tell me, City -- how do you feel about artificial intelligence? Does it exist it your world?

If it does, do you trust it? Is it its own species -- or many species?

If you killed it, would you consider it murder, or simply -- deactivation?

[She glances off-camera.]

I don't doubt that people feel differently here, with the AI having bodies. I'm just -- curious.

[Really, she's trying to sort through how she really feels about them -- the geth, at least. Making a generalization about all AI would be as ridiculous as making a generalization about all organic life. The Reapers were far different from the geth, after all, and they'd proved that repeatedly.]

How were things going when you left?

We were settling back down on the planet.

[There's a few hundred years in between her previous statement and this one. She hadn't actually been alive during the flight of her people.]

[Even though this war happened in a universe she will never visit, there's relief in her voice.]

I'm glad of that.

But yeah, the way AI are treated here is more like where I'm from than that. I bet it's been an experience.

It was something to get used to.

[She bobs her head in a nod.]

If they had treated the geth like they treat AI here, I don't think the war would've happened.

Hindsight, huh?

Heh, yeah.

Useless hindsight too. I heard you don't even remember this place when you go back for good.

[From the tone of her voice it sounds like she wishes she would remember.]

Fortunately for me, the quarians might finally be learning the lesson of how to treat the AI for themselves.

[The geth having their own individuality now didn't hurt things.]

Confused, but I think that's a good thing.

[She's not just blindly believing that people should wipe out the geth completely. That's something.]
