text; 001 ☽
[She has been here a while; aquainting herself with public posts and then posts stored in the archives. She is disconcerted, but not put out. It is a surreal thing, to be here. It is more bizzare still to discover this is not her first time. Her memory must be failing her. Or time shenanigans are afoot. She isn't one to put all her eggs into one basket, but the latter is far more likely. She is quite certain she would remember being in a city like this.
Rose often thinks there will come a day that shenanigans will become tiresome. Today is not that day! She is opting for text: it is terribly predictable. Rose is feeling very predictable today. Sometimes being predictable is just a logical step to take, after all. It wouldn't do to do something outlandish and not be recognized.
Rose's pranksters gambit is, today, sadly lagging behind in last place. Priorities and the such, must be taken care of first:]
A story comes to mind. I have no doubt you will all be familiar with it. A girl falls down a hole and oh, the place that she ends up! I wish I could say I had the opportunity to follow a white rabbit, but such an adventure has eluded me. It does feel like a rather long time since I last saw a city that was so normal, however. Congratulations on that. Superb job. I am particularly fond of the architecture and the rather profound sense of nostalgia I am feeling. I can almost here the the inane chortle of a woman who would, by normal standards, be too inebriated to function. Alas it is my imagination.
My name is Rose, if you will pardon my momentary loss of manners. I have a feeling perhaps that some of you may know me. Just a moment ago I had planned to take a nap. I was hoping to meet up with some friends, even! Perhaps I *am* napping and this is a dream which goes beyond the norm? I simply just do not know. Perhaps you can help me, if you are reading this. I can see no white eyed people as of yet, but I am looking for someone. Or rather, someone's.
One is rather loud and has an intriguing habit of spying. Another is a tasteful sort, even if her ability to hold a grudge is something to marvel at. The last two you will know by one's ability to mumble to himself every chance he gets and the other's ability to lick and sniff every available surface she thinks may holds secrets. Or taste delicious. They are an odd bunch. If you know them please return them to Rose Lalonde immediately in one piece. I am quite fond of them.
With that out of the way; where am I? Why am I here? Is there decent coffee? Tea, even! At this present moment I am not choosy. I am also missing a pen and a large notebook, though I have no doubt I will acquire them later.
Thank you for your time.

[a wry smile.
oh no she totally has a type---. ]I'm sure deep down he appreciates. He simply likes his space. Odd, given who raised him.

Submitting him to soporific beverages may exacerbate the issue. Though under such effects tend to be far more often prone to poor judgement.
Though I must admit some amusement at the idea of him enjoying Space. His opinion seems to be somewhat mixed between those of us owning the aspect.

[things rose would pay to see: kanaya drunk. she checks the time briefly, subtly rolling her eyes. ]
His time keeping, however, leaves much to be desired.

[ girl loves her bff after all. as for the drunkenness, rose is lucky in that it was pretty publicly broadcasted ]

A good philosophy.

Shit, feels like I just wondered into the masturbatory ego snark-off.

Ah, speak of the devil.
[She is thrilled to see Dave. So thrilled. She is smiling, even! There is nothing sly about it. ]

A devil in dark shades. He should much like to consider himself such, I'm sure.

[ don't let him sass he isn't good at it. ]

[Rose will be your sass master, young padawan. ]
You took your time.

I'm sure we can find it within ourselves to forgive him, he must have had his reasons.
[ he had to get that necklace for her, after all ]

There is a distinct lack of a malodorous trail, so perhaps you're right. Though the somewhat pleasant citrus addition from our last encounter seems to be absent as well. A change in hygiene products, perhaps?
[ she takes out a compact and checks herself over quickly. ] Now that you're here, we can be going. I know a delightful tea room a few blocks away, we can fill you in on the details there.

Alright, cool. Lead the way.
no subject
Alright. Should I ask for white napkins in case I have to referee between you both?

[ she plays her fingers in the air like she's looking for something. after two seconds, she pulls and there's suddenly a glowing thread in her hand, and as she pulls it an opening widens in the side of the room until the facade a a tea house appear.
she steps through to the other side and anchors the threads as she waits for the other two. ]
Well, come along then.

You must save a lot on cab fare.

She casts Dave a look over her shoulder. ]
Your manners are still in-tact I see.

My finances are directed toward more important matters, little need to waste it on unnecessary transportation expenses.
[ she could make some pretty sweet bank if she ever thought to charge people for ferrying them around, but it's never occurred to her. she's cool with bringing her friends places, it's just another duty.
she holds the door for them before making her way to the counter. she's paying, after all, but since she's the one with a job that should be obvious. they can find a table once they've gotten their drinks. ]
