I'm wondering if Calvin can come over for, like, a night. We'd just hang and pla video games. It's summer and unless you have him in some sort of camp thing then it should be okay. I can pick him up too. Uh, we'd probably have to get a hotel room because I don't think Boyd would really want to house us for the night, but we'd have one of my people there since the guy follows me everywhere...

So, uh, yeah, I figured I needed to ask his parents before asking Calvin so you don't think I've stolen him or something. I promise I'm not some weirdo.

Cha. God, imagining my parents having to deal with even one other kid is a laugh riot. Although if they thought they could foist me off on another family I'm sure they would have given in on the studying always thing.

Uh, did I mention I'm a genius? That's fairly fulfilling. Also fulfilling is tv.

TV and your own mind can only get you so far. Didn't you want to spend time with your family?

Hmm, that's a hard one.

I'm talking about human connection, feeling properly socialized and loved, not just having free range over your affairs.

Most people are dumb, so why would I want to connect with them? If you're feeling all emotionally connected to my social development don't worry; I have Boyd here.

That's a dire outlook on humanity that I'd rather my child not pick up, if you don't mind.

Most of that was me talking out my ass, right. Like, we're both adults and adults talk crazy. Crazy adult talk. Crazy.

Calvin hears enough crazy adult talk from the crazy adults in his life. I want him to have as normal a life as he can, I want him to do normal kid things, not wind up with some superiority complex because he believes all the hype.

... I just want him to have fun, without any of this stuff. Okay?

What? No, I have it all planned out. I'm bringing in my gaming system, there'll junk food which is pretty much a staple of my diet, and possibly laser tag if I can resize the vest.
