[ The wheel of a motorbike comes into frame. It'd be cool, if it wasn't also on fire. Just like the rest of the vehicle, seemingly, which Reilly is sitting on. With an expression that's somewhere between resigned amusement and suppressed panic. ]

On a scale of one to ten, how much should I be freaking out right now? I mean, I've never even ridden a motorcycle before. I just thought they looked cool! And it wouldn't hurt to have a ride, but, as soon as I touched it--

Didn't realize I could extend it to vehicles, though. I mean, it makes sense, but I never really had a reason to try it.

How does extending fire to vehicles make sense?

Uh, well... [ He sighs. He's been saying more than he'd like to, today. ] I could coat weapons in flame. If I wanted to. No real reason I couldn't do that to any other object.

[ Chuckles. ] Yeah. Yeah, it really is, isn't it?

Though my powers are kinda weird, too. Awesome, but kinda weird.

Okay, check this out.

[ Jesse stands from where she was chilling on the roof of the MAC, stepping on the skateboard that she had been sitting on. She pushes off, heading straight for the edge of the roof, but just as she's about to go over, she adjusts her weight and shoots down the side of the building, weaving around windows. One floor from the bottom, she shifts her weight again and the board lifts off the side of the wall.

Which deposits Jesse neatly into the branches of a neatly groomed tree growing by the MAC. ]

Ack!

[ His voice is so soft it's almost inaudible. ] She's not here any more. Not sure what the word is for that.

[ Reilly shakes his head and watches Jesse. He gives her a courtesy clap, even despite her less than graceful fall. ] So. Amazing skateboarding skills, huh? That's pretty handy.

[... Wait. ] Hey, hold it. Are you okay?

[ There's a pause while Jesse untangles herself from the branches and drops down onto the grass below. ]

Oof. Yeaaaah. Man, I have problems with that landing.

And hey, amazing skateboarding skills isn't my power, I've always been that awesome. But going down buildings like that is kinda new.

[ He nods like he has any idea what she's talking about. ]

Yeah. Landings tend to be rough.

Hmmm. Sounds pretty useful -- as long as you don't look down on your way up, I guess.

I would definitely avoid that, if I were you.

I mean, we are in a city of superfreaks, so there's a pretty good chance someone might swoop and save your skin, but... better not to risk it.

[ Jesse frowned, wrinkling her nose. ]

Yeah, I don't think I wanna try relying on anybody swooping out of nowhere to save my ass.

Yeah, being carried by some dork in a cape is almost worst than death.

I meant, I don't wanna rely on them because you never know when they're not gonna show up.
