[ wow, look, another post from a bar! someone check this dragon into rehab, seriously. But this time she's just sort of staring expressionlessly into a drink, and not looking particular drunk at all. ]

I can't reach Dick Grayson. I don't suppose anyone's been kidnapped lately? [ A flick of a glance at the screen, not very hopeful. ] If the Porter's idea of a gift is to bring people in from the distant past and uninteresting future of my world, at the expense of people I like, I'd rather she keep it to herself.

You people, the ones he actually liked— have any of you seen him?

[ A pause, while she sips at the drink and eyes the bar. ]

And the rest of you... what have you done to be remembered?

A free pass? Perhaps. But I was not there when the gods came into existence, so I wasn't at the true beginning. And even dragon memories are susceptible to be lacking.

Then I like to be remembered as the dragon that helped to restore magic to the world. But I wouldn't mind if the elves took that honor.

Because magic is power, Khisanth, you know that. You weren't alive in a time when spells were never cast because they never existed since the passings of the Queen's Sons and Paladine's Daughters; when the numbers of both metallic and chromatic dragons were very small and many people did not regard us as real but rather lessons of life for their short-lived children to learn from.

Returning magic to Krynn is akin to shatter a mountain top and raining the remains on the world. Except this time, there will be no destruction but potential, potential to create out of nothing and make nothingness out of something. And I was willing to defy the gods' wishes for that potential.

My Platninum Father will not help me, so I simply set out to find another way to do it.

It is only pointless when you make it so, Khisanth. Perhaps you face defeat, perhaps you die - but it not the endings that matter. It is what you do in life that makes much more the difference. Killing or saving one man can create an effect that no one, not even the creator of the gods can anticipate.
