Ah, is this... [ she sounds faint, dizzy, for a moment. ] Is this on?
[ there's a bit of fumbling before a golden eye fills up most of the communicator's screen and pulls back to reveal a girl with blonde hair curled into drills, and she smiles in relief. ]
Thank goodness. I thought I'd lost my ability to work digital devices already... [ a weak laugh. She's not feeling her best, and it shows, even though she straightens up and does her best to compose herself. ]
Hello. My name is Tomoe Mami - I'm from Mitakihara, Japan. [ she curtsies. ] I've read the brochures that the machine gave us, but I still have one question...
Would anyone know where to find a good tea shop..? [ she's pretty aware that it seems kind of silly, but stress relief is Important kinda ] I'm not familiar with American cities, and I don't want to get lost on my first day here.
If anyone has any recommendations, I'd enjoy hearing them. Thank you. [ another curtsy, before she switches off the communicator. ]

[ oh, that's right there was something else she wanted to say... ]
Oh, by the way, there's... another magical girl stuck here.
no subject
--oh hey really .o. ]
Ah, is that so? What does she look like?
no subject
She's got red hair and looks like some delinquent dropout or something like that. She even told me it was my fault she's stuck here!

OH KYOKO YOU NEVER CHANGE ]
She's a little hotheaded, isn't she... [ ;;; kyoko... ]

[ she sounds melancholy, almost pained. ] And yes, I do know her. She used to be my friend.
I won't say anything about what led her to be like that, though. That's for her to tell you, not me.
no subject
[ but then again it might be because mami-san is just too kind! ]
no subject
She suffered through a lot. It changed her.
But she's still the same person she was, underneath all that. She's a good person, you know.
[ SHE WAS JUST LIKE YOU AT ONE POINT SAYAKA
CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT
CAN YOU ]
no subject
but since this is mami she will give her the benefit of a doubt! Well, sort of, at least! ]
I don't know, Mami-san, she kind of sounded really determined to hurt me and the other heroes...
[ see, no screaming! PROGRESS ]
no subject
She has...problems with that. It doesn't excuse her behaviour, but if she ever chooses to tell you what happened in her past...
I think you'll understand a little better. [ remember when she talked about someone else making a wish selflessly that ended badly
um..... ]
no subject
[ 'try' being used very loosely here sob ]
no subject
It's just a little advice, that's all. I'm sure you'll manage fine by yourself, too! [ she's not too worried right now ]
Ah, also - when would you like to start training?
no subject
[ and she sounds a little TOO excited ]
no subject
Well, all right. [ she's so enthusiastic.... ]
Where are you living right now?

video --> action?
she will be knocking on the door in about two hours, armed with a cake. It's not as 'high-class' as she usually provides, but she thinks it should suffice.
(and with Mami, 'sufficing' with cakes usually means it's a leap and a bound above normal standards.) ]
Miki-san?
action!
Mami-san! You finally arrived!
[Nope she is not letting Mami talk just yet ooh look at what she has in her hands!]
Ooh what's that you got there? That's cake, isn't it?
action
It's good to see you too, Miki-san!
[ yep it is cake!! it is in a plastic container since she hasn't had time to go shopping and make her own fancy containers for small slices of cake but IT IS CAKE. apple teacake to be exact. ]
I thought I should bring something as a welcoming present, since I'm coming into your home. It's not much, but...

[ steps aside to make way! ]
Come in, come in!
no subject
Ah, Miki-san, can I use your kitchen?
no subject
[she leads the way and smiles sheepishly] Sorry if it's a mess, though!
[there is some instant noodle powder spillage here and there, and maybe a chocolate wrapper at the corner!]
no subject
She boils water in the kettle and sets out two mugs - she really will have to get an actual tea set at some point - but for today she'll make do.
While the water is boiling, she cleans up the powder - the chocolate wrapper is quickly consigned to the depths of the bin where it rightfully belongs. She gets out plates and utensils and sets the table, before coming back to put some tea bags in the cups and pour boiling water in. ]
Ah, before I forget...do you take tea with milk or sugar, Miki-san?
no subject
Milk, please!
no subject
She cuts two slices from the cake and plates them up, sliding the plate over to Sayaka to accompany her tea. ]
There we go. I hope you enjoy it, Miki-san.
no subject
Wow, this is really good, Mami-san!
