So, I was afraid I might come home to the possibility given how much difficulty I had in reaching her, but it appears that Amanda Waller's gone. Seems it happened before she could have one of Dr. Solus and Peter's sensors installed, too, which is a shame when her company was funding them.

[He looks back up at the camera, tired but trying to smile.] Still, it's good to be home, I suppose. Weather's starting to turn, and just in time, too. Don't know how much longer I could've taken the warmer climates!

Has it been busy, aside from that matter at the UN? I guess I still have some catching up to do.

Yeah, and we've got Doom to thank for that. Really, we shoulda seen that coming.

We probably should have. But what kind of preventative measures we could have taken other than preemptively and illegally having him incarcerated is difficult to call.

That's always the sticking point, isn't it.

That's the point of due process. We can't toss someone in the slammer merely for existing, but if we discover their plans before they've put them into play, we'd have more leverage.

Yeah, but just think about bugging ol' Doom and see where that gets you.

Plans on top of plans on top of plans!

When one's discovered, he'll just take a contingency! When seven are, he'll still have an eighth! It never ends.

You'd think we could just hit one domino and topple the whole thing.

[professorlionface]

Only against a particularly poor planner. It would take a very special domino to overthrow Doom like that.

And probably someone else's job to keep looking for it. I just pick these things off as they come.

Well, it's usually best to aim for the most vulnerable point. It could benefit you to keep an eye open.
