But intent doesn't matter. We're still arriving in droves, armed with powers many of us can't control, some with evil ambitions. Even the benign ones can cause a lot of damage. Entire industries have been erased from this world, the social climate has been dramatically altered. And that's all just from us existing, that doesn't even count what happens when we use our powers.

I've always had an excellent memory, but the Porter's enhanced it to the point that I basically can't forget anything here. It's both a blessing and a curse. I also got superhuman eyesight. I can see people in the cockpits of planes. It used to hurt a lot, I'd have major headaches all the time, but I'm used to it now.
